Taking Back Your Life from a Manipulative or Abusive Partner
A controlling or abusive partner can break even the strongest woman, resulting in fear, anxiety, depression, trauma, and low self-esteem. Written by an expert in domestic violence and based on her highly successful twelve-week, three-stage recovery program for women with controlling partners, this book will empower women to overcome the abuse and coercion, and give them the strength to finally address the problem--or leave the relationship once and for all. --Publisher

What a phenomenal resource for women who are in committed relationships with mild, moderate, or severely controlling and manipulative (aka abusive) men.
I'm pretty sure the word “narcissist” was never used throughout the entire book. This felt like such a breath of fresh air. Instead, the compassionate author showcases the behaviours and tactics these (consciously or unconsciously) abusive men utilize, explains the multi-faceted toll their abuse takes on the woman, and offers clear guidance on how the woman can reclaim their lives.
This was an eye-opening read.
May it lead those who have slowly been stripped of their sovereignty to a place of personal empowerment.

This pairs well with the eight episode Apple TV series “Lessons in Chemistry.”Hot damn. That was such an unexpectedly empowering show! (I just started the novel, so I can't recommend the book just yet. Yes, you read that correctly: I watched the series before I read the book!)
