Wytches, Volume 1

Random find for me at the Church of B&N this morning (we've gone the last two Sundays in a row). Of course, since it's horror, I'm going to look at it.

And it was enjoyable. Not great, but decent. The art is pleasant enough, although things get vague sometimes, especially with the meshing of past and present between Sail and her dad. Those parts get a bit choppy. And there is a twist that I wasn't expecting, mostly because I was busy trying to process Western Comic because I rarely read them, because it wasn't the most original twist.

That being said, I really quite liked Sail and her father, and I loved that it was taking place in my home state of NH. And I love the concept of Wytches being a different branch of evolution, and those who battle them have apparently been considered witches by society. So, yeah, this has loads of awesome potential, and I'll be excited to read more.
