Unfortunately, this novel feels like all these promo tie in comics that were made to promote a videogames/toy line in early 2000's. Its possible to give a nice story in just 1 issue, however in this example we barely get a glimpse of what happened before the novel and it does not defend itself by its own due to that. I would prefer to get a much wider work, even as a novel, that would showcase events that were mentioned here, rather than this. Artstyle also looks very poorly and amateurish, even compared to many webtoon canvas. However since its mainly a promotional material, made by enthusiast, i cannot give 1*

Tips for the author:
>Next time try to blend exposition with the action so reader wouldnt feel like its reading a synopsis
>There was a Syzygyc War mentioned, if you try to make another promo comic, focus on one certain battle from this war to showcase the races, sides of conflict and lore, it would feel much more intruiging.
>Artstyle wise, focus on less minor details but more into major ones, show the dynamic of the single frames, look at Rob Liefeld, his characters look like caricatures, the proportions are joke, yet due to dynamic nature of his works, people dont care all that much as the framing is insane.
>Treat comic like a static movie and use this to your advantage.

I hope its not your last attempt at this media, it could be better, but i hope you will come back will full force with something that will wipe people off the board :D

Your typical, generic, run-of-the-mill, fake dating romance. I know it started as a wattpad novel and thats why i should be more soft while writing this review as this platform, since the beginning was known for “Questionable” quality. BUT NO, gosh, this is so predictable. Our protagonist is Jenny, an actress, but the thing that differenciate it from other actressess, even during casting, is that she is not a stereotypical 10/10 girl. Which is a good thing, i mean, this can be a nice base to build the overall uniqueness of the character as well as her backstory. This casting is for a “special” role in a “movie” related finacially to a rich prince. As our protag is extremely poor, she decides to try get a role there, as the sum for this role is MASSIVE. As you may guess, there is no movie, and the role is to be a prince's girlfriend, so he can get to a throne. If he wont, the throne will be taken by his evil brother, which is the flattest antagonist ive seen, since “The Darkest Night” by Gena Showalter. From that point you can just do a regular generic bingo card. Shopping, Sex, Sex in the water, something getting broken, an ex girlfriend, our prince ACTUALLY LOVING OUR MC (NO WAY? FOR REAL? NOONE HAS EXPECTED THAT!), drama, epic misunderstanding and our protags getting back together and living happily ever after. I read HALF of this book at the moment of writing this review and its a pure pain for me, please send help. Im hoping other works of this author are far better than this, as she had almost 6 years, since this novel came out, in which her writing skills could get better.

Update 2: Book completed, its nice the final chapters has been spoiled in bits and pieces through the entirety of the book, its not a amazing novel, but i like these motives of puzzles that slowly combine together into a full picture 5/10


We all do have some guilty pleasures in all kinds of media. Stories so bad yet engaging in some sort of magical way, we cant describe. Even though its my second year of reading other books than school readings, i also do have some: Seweryn Zaorski Thriller Series by Remigiusz Mroz (apparently his books are going to be translated to english starting 2024), My Fault by Mercedes Ron (so bad, so wrong but hooking) and now Gang of Ghouls by Eva Chase. I write this review after only 1/3rd of the book so my opinion may change (if it will, i will update you on that), but it also means the amount of plot im going to spoil you in a bit, wont ruin your enjoyment with this book.
The story is simple: the girl, lily, goes back from mental asylum, in which she spent many years in and now tries to live a normal college girl live. But she cant. As she lives in small town everyone, IM NOT FRICKIN KIDDING YOU, EVERYONE. Knows that she was there. And instead of trying to show some compassion and support, to the person that recovered from mental illness, they do what? Of course, a mass group bullying of her. Some are more direct than the others , but the thing is clear. EVERYONE HATES HER. If you think the story cant be more silly and unrealistic, we got you. As it is an paranormal romance series, author had to add paranormal things into the soup, that is this novel. And these matters are, ghosts. Apparently, unlike what doctors tries to tell her, and unlike of what she thinks nowadays, the ghosts are real in that world. She cant see them anymore, but when she was a kid, she almost drowned in a marsh and these ghosts helped her get to the shore. Now after all these years, they try to form some relationship with that girl and help her with bullying. They created a great plan, which is kill some of the biggest bullies and possess their bodies. The way they did that is so silly and low tier horror movie esque, you have to check out by yourself. Now as they have those bodies, they can finally talk to the girl and help her out with issues.
Now after you've read quick (and full of grammar errors, sorry!) Synopsis of like first 5-6 chapters, you may wonder: what is this sh!t? I dont have a clear answer for that unfortunately, however for me, this novel have that f-tier or lower horror movie vibes, like the movies from the asylum, with a story that you should not take seriously, rather than play along with it. And honestly, its a pure dumbfest, in which im a spectator with larger popcorn and big cola, which cant stop nodding hand with banana like smile on my face, each time something bizzare happens in this plot. Its so bad and good at the same time (its written well and the story doesnt deny itself on every corner so that a good groundwork for the fun read), i cant stop reading, laughing and loving this silly little book. Try it, start it with open mind and dont treat it seriously. You're going to have the most brainlet time of your life and you will love it!

Loki z 2004 roku to jest nietypowe dzieło w historii marvela. Z jednej strony jest to związane z jednym z najważniejszych antagonistów w historii tej marki, z drugiej nie doświadczymy tutaj żadnej superbohaterowości. Historia opiera się na tym że lokiemu finalnie udaje się zdobyć Asgard a jedynym zadaniem które zostaje mu do finalnego zwycięstwa jest zabicie thora. Jest ona przedstawiona tutaj w postaci brudnych i szkaradnych lecz realistycznych obrazów, co dobrze współgra z wątkami tu przedstawionymi. Mamy tu do czynienia z dużą ilością tła w rozmowach z biologiczną matką, przyszywanymi rodzicami czy też zwykłymi asgardczykami ukazujące co spowodowało że loki stał się tym kim jest i co doprowadziło się do ukształtowania umysłu złoczyńcy. Brak miłości w rodzinie, gnębienie i poniżanie doprowadziło do tego kim się stał, czego jest świadom. Bardzo dobrze kształtowanie morderców w ten sposób ukazują badania prowadzone przez fbi w latach 70. Jest tu też dużo odniesień do oryginalnej historii lokiego z mitologii. Począwszy od samego tematu, czyli lokiego zasiadającego na tron, który jest oparty na micie gdzie niektórzy po skazaniu lokiego, wierzyli że kiedyś obejmie on tron i rozpocznie Ragnarok będący wielką walką bogów. Mamy też wspomniane przygarnięcie lokiego, ścięcie włosów sif, spowodowane drwinami z jego wyglądu, wspólne braterstwo thora i lokiego i sposób zakończenia, jak i finalny los lokiego jakim było przypięcie do skały nad którym zawieszony jest jadowity wąż którego jad ma kapać w jego twarz. Warto też podkreślić ze można w tej książce zobaczyć ludzką część lokiego, gdyż w związku z jego czasem miłą przeszłością z thorem podczas wcześniej wspomnianych przygód waha się go zabić co podkreśla genialne, realistyczne przedstawienie świata w tej produkcji. Uważam iż to dzieło genialnie ukazuje jak ludzie troszczą się o pamięć mitów w obecnym społeczeństwie, nie tylko tych greckich.

This is my first goodreads review and will probably stay as the only one for a long loong time. Anyway, my younger brother REAAALLY loves football (or soccer whatever you want to call), so i wanted to make him a gift related to it. I found this comic on an auction site for extremely cheap so i decided to picked it up. As we live in different cities and i dont have a driving licence, i decided to read it while im on the bus, and oh boy is it goofy.
The whole premise is Christiano Ronaldo becoming a superhero that kicks villain's butts while doing Galactik Football inspired moves (with or without ball) and having his secret “super cool” crew that have some ultra hi-tech in their base. The premise itself made me laugh, but thats not they end. The crew and ronaldo himself are so poorly written it makes the whole comic even more funny when they fight the enemies (they do this all the time, there is no football in this comic). However, i like that goofiness a lot, as the art really good matches the comic tone. It looks exactly like mid 2000's cartoon like those that aired on cartoon network such as Teen Titans, Ben 10 or Generator Rex, which vibes i miss now as an adult. Tbh, its not ambitious AT ALL, but its a solid, dumb fun, for kids and maybe their parents
