Well this was not my favourite book I have ever read. But it was up there. It gets a 4.75 for mutible reasons. I mean it is about dragons, kinda. It about a dragon people and also humans and just how they work and don't work torgether. I have an obsession with dragons to begin with so it was up there just due to that (if it was bad I would place it down of course). I enjoyed the overall story of the book. It was just really fun to read.
I also enjoy myself a strong and independent girl main caracther that is not just men men men and that allows the girl to just be strong, with no having to sacrifice her powers, or choosing to not be strong due to a man or family needing help. Let a girl be a fighter.
It is a book I can easily reread. Honestly I could probely reread it like in 2 days just to see if my opinion is still the same.
Well, I am not sure what to write about this.
I read this because a irl bookclub I am in wanted o read it.
It is both dark and relaxing at the same time. Which is a confusing mix for sure.
The writing style was not a problem for me, I did however have other issues. Like the fact the book is nothing about religion. Or it is not supose to be, yet it focuses so much around church. Like I was not here for the issues of the church, I want to read about the bookclub that meets after years. When they all old and wanting to find out what happened to somones sister. While sometimes they argue about old drama that happened when they were younger.
i did not get that, I just got too much church poletics and finacial issues.

Well, ever since I heard about what this book is I have been wanting to read it. It sounded like an adoreble and cozy and just super relaxing break from the world.
Honestly, I have latley been just somewhat tired after focusing. The books I have read latley have mostly been hard and needed more focus. So this was a nice break from all that, just being allowed to read and relax as much as possible. So that was really nice.
Now to the actual review part of this.
I really enjoyed Viv's motivation in this book. Just wanting to settle down. I mean I agree, I also just want to sit down and relax. Just wanting a cofee shop and to run it and show people magic cofee. Like yes please give me.
I am usually one for more high stakes fanatsy. Usually, the last three books have been low stake so I seem to start liking low stake now.
I enjoyed that it was set in the DnD kind of place. I felt like this was a campaign that in some ways I could fill my time with. Between the attackers and quests in the campaign Needing to grow the caracther and all.
This was a strong and well written book that seeminglly allowed the cacarthers to grow and filll the space they wanted without the plot just supressing them. Something I really appriciated. It was writen easily without just being straight out a children book.
Overall I really enjoyed this book.
So where to even start.
Well it is easy to say I am NOT a fan of this book. Like at ALL. The story that we are supose to get I felt like we did not achive to get at all. The idea of what we are supose to get is really fun. I would love to learn and see this actually properly develop.
The way it was written somewhat felt like it was a 7 year old that just learnt sentence writing. We are told random stuff that COULD have been intresting, but then it is never mentioned again.
I understand that the author does enjoy being seen as unreilible and that everythng is a suprise. I just still feel that it was not properly done.
As a total this book was a 0.5 better than The silent patient for me. So a whole 1.25 star.
It's the story of Marianne and Connell; two young people growing up Carriclea, a little town in Ireland. Where they live totally diffrent lives, and when they start uni their suroundings changes again. So now we see how they relationship goes up and down and if maybe they can survuve all this.
In general I am more of a plot driven reader. I enjoy the somehat logical and straight line. Without all the sidestuff that has no relevance to the actual storyline. The author does a good job in keeping what is relveant in and most of the unrelevant out. Yet, it is not straight enough.
At times I found myself reading page after page about thing that had bearly any relevance to the actual story.
The caracthers are well written however. They had real problems, not just the stupid problems that book caracthers have. But actual real issues. Which was really nice for a change. They were not mean or jjst super nerdy. They felt like eople I can hang out with. I would happily sit with them in secondary school. I want to be their friend.
I quite enjoyed this book. The stories were kinda funny. I had a feel good experience while reading threw this book.
If somone is intrested in music and just want to read meoris to people and pianos. It is just a funny and feel good book. There is not need to think or focus mmusch which sometimes is really needed. So yes I am happy with that.
