I just couldn't get into the characters. Long monologues and confusing characters
Loved it, and the best book I've read in a long time. Complex characters that you have to reflect on how you feel about them.
Really good. Strong start, and a steady build up in the middle, with a good ending that had me reflecting. Well written exploring race, prejudice without being too extreme.
Although I didn't really like nor relate to any of the characters, it was a fun and enjoyable read. The characters on occasion lacked depth; George and the Nan were probably the two best ones. The last 100 pages went in a different direction to what I was expecting. A fun read, with several twists. Would recommend
