Every time I read this book, I realize why I love this series. It always makes me laugh out aloud.
Wow. That's all I can say. I don't know why I chose this book to read but by the 2nd chapter, I am sucked in. It is one of the emotional book I have read after a long time and usually I avoid books like that.
Lisa is a recent window who was married for 30 years. She receives a mail about a post office box and things go down from there. She finds that her husband has got a second mortgage without her knowledge and no insurance money. She also finds that he has a mistress and son and the bother-in-law and sister-in-law(who is her best friend) knows about it. She is just devastated by this revelation. Her daughter is not close to her and she finds it hard to tell her everything.
She is a real estate agent and meets up with Terry who wants to date her. Terry genuinely loves her and she feels better about moving on with her life except for the fact that she couldn't forgive her in-laws and her husband. She sells her condo and moves in with Terry.
In-between, Rick is obsessed with Lisa and stalks her. In the end, Rick ends up shooting Terry and he dies telling her to move on.
This is one of the most emotional book, I read for a long time. I was in tears towards the end of this book. I kept thinking how would I feel if it was me. Would I be able to forgive the in-laws and the husband? would I be nice to the mistress and son? How is that its easy to accept for lot of people that its ok to cheat. Lot of questions in my mind. But overall, its a wonderful story and I give it 4.5 stars.
I really liked this book mainly because of the humor. Jenna is a real estate agent and Andy is a famous football player. It starts with a love portion a client of Jenna applies on her and then followed by a mob of men wanting her. Andy somehow resists the portion and falls in love with her. But Jenna is sceptic about his love and wants to wait till the poetion wears off. It certainly was an entertaining read with all those wierd characters. Definitely a good romance novel.
Peta works for Andreas and they both have kids. Andreas realizes that Peta will be a perfect nanny for his son and Peta agrees since she wants to spend more time with her son. Then comes a kidnap threat against Andreas son and they all fled to Greece. They both are attracted to each other but Peta resists because she thinks he only wants an affair. In the meantime, the kidnapper kidnaps Peta son by mistake and in between lots of drama, they realizes that they loves each other.
This book was little bit boring. I would certainly give 2.5 stars. You can almost predict whats going to happen? Its the same old story but it was not that bad.
The synopsis says it all. This story is almost believable. I love the fact that the hero and heroine is just a normal person who has some unique abilities. The villain was almost scary because it does happen in the real world. The way that the hero tries to protect the heroine and the way he falls in love on first sight was fantastic to read. But he is an alpha male who think that the heroine is “mine”. But they complement each other and I like it. I give it 5 stars because i really did enjoy reading this book.
Totally loved this book from page 1.
Revenge. Is it sweet or is it a dish best served cold? I loved the smart witty comments and humor in this book. I had a smile most of the time I was reading this book.
I totally understand the motive behind Christina and I wondered if I would do the same. She had a opportunity to humiliate Bill who humiliated her in high school. But by second chapter you began to sympathize with Bill. William is a overbearing father where as Bill is a ex-drunk who lives to spend his father's money.
This books has sex, lies, secrets and love. What else do you need? I loved all the characters but by the end of the story you remember the quote “Those who plot the destruction of others often fall themselves”. Christina falls in love with Bill and forgives him for her humiliation but is afraid to reveal the truth. Bill realized that he loves Christiana and wants to marry her. But when the truth is revealed, you realize that love just doesn't conquer all. But with the happy ending you were looking forward to, this book was a total romance lovers haven.
I have been wanting to read this book for a long time ever since I saw lot of good reviews. The book is almost believable. Everybody had faults and nobody's perfect. Tessa who manages the brewery along with her 2 brothers (Jamie & Eric), falls in lust with Luke who is a friend of Jamie. There is lot of family drama going on and she is trying to keep the family together. Luke who is a cop, has problem of his own, divorced and his partner is pregnant and everybody thinks that its his.
Robbery at the brewery brings Tessa and Luke together. You realize the tension between Eric and Jamie is because Jamie feels he is under-appreciated and his opinion is not worth much, whereas Eric has always been the big brother and didn't think he needs to consult with his brother and sister about the business. Tessa feels the need to keep the family together because she is afraid that they might just leave her.
Too much drama in everyone's life and maybe that is why its an interesting book. Moving on to the funny times in the book, I loved it when Eric blushed when Tessa talks about sex because he still thinks of her as little sister and that she is a virgin. Loved the fact that all you have to say is female problems to brothers and they just disappear.
Moving on to the mystery of who is responsible for the robbery, you do kinda of know who did it by half way through the book. Overall, I am really looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Jamie's book, here I come.
What is it with women easily forgiving the men?
Hero - “I am sorry i lied to you and married you for revenge. I love you”
Heroine - “i forgive you since you love me. I love you too. Let's live happily ever after”
Meh. Really? Is it that easy to forgive someone who planned to destroy you?
I read about 5 stories and I realized that without knowing about the world, I was confused about the story. It is a short story in a series and if you don't know anything about the series, it is very confusing. Each story ended abruptly without any conclusion and I didn't like that. And for this reason, I quit reading it.
I wonder why I chose this book. Is it because a friend read it or is it the cover or is it both? :)
From the first page, I was captivated. Talen (vampire & alpha male) wanted Cara (mom, psychic & scientist) as his mate and want to protect her daughter, Janie. Cara wants to protect her daughter so she decided to go with Talen and mate with him. The story has lot of characters and I am looking forward to their stories in the future. All the characters are fascinating.
Sometimes I did find Cara to be weak since she does what Talen wants her to do. But maybe that is the compromise she has to make for being with an Alpha mate. Talen keeps stressing the fact that she is her mate and it was little bit annoying and I felt like telling him to get over it. Maybe the author could tone down the alpha male a bit in the next series :) .
I am captivated by Janie. She reminds of Robin D. Owens hearmates characters(Vini & Avellana)whose book I am looking forward to.
The story was so grasping that I wanted to know who is going to end up in the next book. I love the fact that it has genetics in it being a biology student myself :) . I totally understood what they are talking about during the discussion about their research.
I think this is a wonderful book but I hope that the author keeps us interested in the following series.
I love this series. Its about a Vampire and Human, the forbidden attraction. Dante is a guardian to Chalice for more than 300 years and when the owner, who is a witch, is killed the Chalice is transferred to Abby who is a human. The attraction between Dante and Abby is not difficult to miss. The whole books is about how Abby gets control of her power and how she gets mated to Dante. Abby who was abused when she was small, is strong enough to face the demons from hell. She gets stronger every day facing wizards, magic, witches, demons, etc. In the end, she fights the evil witch and saves the world along with her mate Dante.
Definitely a 4.5 stars for me. A Witch + normal guy + cats, whats not to like. A witch who made a mistake of turning a guy into a cat and trying to find a way to get him back to normal. A guy who is I first thought was jerk, turned his life around with the help of a witch. The chemistry between them was right but he still was a jerk. I really liked how the story goes and how the story ends. This books made me want to read the Book 2 of this series.
This is one of the best can't-keep-the-book-down book I have read in a long time. Min (heroine) and Cal (hero) are pushed together by a bet. Even though they don't like each other at first, they are somehow drawn towards each other. Min is a curvy woman and everyone seems to make her lose weight including the horror mother. I completely understood her frustration when her mother keeps telling her not to eat carbs and sweets and keeps yapping about losing weight.
Cal who has his own business is a dyslexic and awful parents as well. I also understand how the family keeps putting you down. Cal can't seem to resist betting and Min's ex bet him that he has to sleep with her in a month. Throw in some best friends, sister's wedding, amazing food, awful ex-es and there you have a wonderful grabbing story which you want to finish.
It is a humorous stories and I completely loved it.
OMG. I loved this book. It reminded me of all kind of things.. Dublin, pregnancy, parents, motherhood, friendship, sibling, etc. It is what you call a perfect story which you can relate to. All the character are so real. I actually can understand the frustration which Emma felt about everything, trying to get pregnant and when stop trying, you get pregnant :D and of course, lets not forget the advices from mom and your experianced friends  when you are pregnant. Motherhood with baby crying, sleeping and eating. I totally understand Emma. I actually will give this 4.5 stars if i know how to do that :D
This is one of my favorite series and I have read this for the 4th time since I found this series. The author caught me with her imagination. As a biology student, I can understand cloning and splicing which is what it it. Some scientist splice the DNA of a human and animals and make them born.
It makes you ask if you make a clone of somebody, does the clone has rights or is he just an experiment. Its a moral dilemma. Some people think that such abomination should be killed and some think that its fascinating and he has the right to live as he wishes.
The hero Callan has the characteristics of a Lion and human. He escaped the facility where they were kept and tortured. His pride has about 2 women and 3 men. Each of them have different animal characteristics. The heroine Merinus is a journalist sent to talk with Callan so that the world knows about them. At first they have no idea that there are more like them out there.
I love the courting between Callan and Merinus. It is also fun to read the interaction between her and her brother Kane. Then there is a betrayal among the pride which makes it hard for Callan. Towards the end of the book, he goes public about their kind, kills the betrayer and marries Merinus.
After reading this book, the author got me hooked on the series. I loved some of the books and some of them were ok. But overall, it is one of my favorites to read. FYI, it is an erotic novel.
What can I say? this is one of the worst books I have ever read. I read this after lot of hype about how its awesome and I think I read this almost a year after it was released because i kept postponing coz the synopsis just didn't grab me. So finally wanting to see what the hype was about, I finally gave in. What a mistake it was?
I kept waiting for the interesting part and it took me almost 3 days and I forced myself to finish it coz I was waiting for the interesting part. Anyway, I found the Cliff notes on this which I thought was so funny and very apt. I will add the link to my blog which has the Cliff notes.

The first few pages was ok and not that interesting and I seriously thought that I would stop it half way through. But by the middle of the story, it became interesting. I really like Taylor's sarcastic humor. I am still not sure about a famous star falling in love and I feel that most of the actors are like Scott, all pretty face and absolutely disgusting characters. But I like it just because of Taylor's approach to being with a famous star.
