A bit of a wild ride.
- We start off on a very bad note, there's plenty of abuse in various forms that is quite explicit so I don't recommend this for anyone not ready to read about some of the worst things in detail. Despite that it is not a dark romance, just a dark world.
- Our main female lead despite being very traumatized with good reason, shows surprising strength in character that was refreshing. Beyond her personality she has all the quirks of being an omega, including getting over some of her intimacy trauma by sheer power of hormones.
- The guys were all pretty easy to tell apart from each other. The were the reason for this not being dark romance since the actual relationship was very sweet between them.
- When it comes to the bad guys...this was a part one of this series and so this didn't feel like it actually went somewhere in that department, leaving the resolution to the next book.
This felt like a wild ride but mostly because of the explicit content more than the story.
