Despite the synopsis there is more than pure smut...
- The main character, Newt, was a bit weird to me, he felt insecure about being different from his family and kept some distance because of this, however all we heard about wasn't just because he wanted to be a werewolf, he wanted to be alpha so I felt a bit disconnected from him.
- Colin was mostly sweet, and the relationship benefited from that.
- The bad guy didn't feel very threatening and while blackmailing our main character he somehow believed in him?! This felt confusing because of the confidence he seemed to have that a breakthrough was not only possible but imminent. The conclusion of this arc was ok, it made sense but was very much rushed and still I didn't feel satisfied with it.
For a book with some plot but mostly not it was ok.
