Not a fan of the writing style. Gave up about 15% of the way through.
Some of her references were odd, why is she bringing up The Force? The reference to Sex and The City at least made sense.

Bored on the bus, listened to more. Got mad that she didn't seem to understand Colette, called Bob Dylan inarticulate, and went on for sometime about her eBay experience.

I went a year without picking this up :/
I wanted to like this, but I have so much clutter. I'm putting this into one of my local little free libraries, hopefully it will find a place (or many) where it can make a more meaningful impact rather than being perceived as clutter.

This was brought to my attention by Hideo Kojima.

“The area of the brain used to make tools like this overlaps with the area used for spoken language. It is highly possible, therefore that humans from the early Stone Age already had some command of language.”

Ok I've lost my place and I'm calling it. I was using this as background noise more or less while I did housework, but this collection for me is the epitome of ‘just because one can does not mean one should'.

There are a few morsels here and there and probably a handful of gems, but currently I'd rather spend my time on other things.

Keep it up David, I understand that not every project is genius.

I also keep meaning to get and watch “Do I Sound Gay?”

This has looked so appealing for a long time, I mean that cover is gorgeous and it looks like it's going to be an awesome fairy tale retelling. I listened to the first five minutes (Thanks Libby) and Julia Emelin, the reader, is Russian – yay she'll be able to pronounce names and places, but it also seems like she was told to exaggerate her accent. I've browsed my goodreads friends' reviews and it seems that I will not be onboard for this brand of romance. I think I'm going to save myself from this one.
I'm marking it as abandoned rather than just deleting it because I'm pretty sure I'll see the cover of this and be like ‘oh, that looks like something that I might be interested in.'

Although, now I'm eyeing Spinning Silver...

Only looked at the Ode to a Nightingale, so far and hope to return to this. Really helped me understand the beauty of it.
