How is this even a thing?

I'm not against fanfiction in general nor against 1D fanfic in particular, and I have no opinion one way or another in regard to P2P but this... this I'm against. Published RPF blatantly referring to Harry Styles, with its own merch - this is messed up.

I don't get it. HOW did it get published? How did it get translated и на български, при това? How is it getting a damned movie?

How come such pieces of... fiction become worldwide published phenomena?

But Todd only sees any comparisons to Fifty Shades as an honor. Todd loves the E.L. James series and credits it with “totally [changing] my reading life.” In Fifty Shades, “everything was based in Washington and Seattle, and so I was like, After's going to be in Seattle!” Tessa's interest in publishing was inspired by Todd's own passion for novels but also Fifty Shades' Ana Steele, who pursues a career in book publishing.

Q&A
qme5: What can you tell us about the new Fitz/Fool series? How long after the Tawny man series does it take place? Will it still be in 1st Person Fitz POV? Anything?
Also, what was it like to go back and write these characters again? What were/are you most nervous about?
Thanks so much for doing this! The Farseer/Tawny man trilogies are just... I've read them more times than I can count.

RH: Well, I will tell you want I can without doing spoilers.
Chronologically, it begins after the events in The Rain Wild Chronicles.
Going back to those characters is like connecting with old friends. They've changed and yet they haven't.
I am most nervous about the fact that I've decided to write these books as I originally imagined I would rather than follow where many readers seemed to want me to go.
First person POV. Yes.
And there you are!

rewayna: I would LOVE to see an origin story of the Fool. The concept of the Whites and their heritage is fascinating to me. Is this part of the Elderling world ever going to explained more thoroughly?
RH: The Magic Eight Ball says: Only time will tell.
Seriously, it's hard for me to know where a story will lead me until I get there. Certainly there will be more about this in the Fitz and the Fool Trilogy. How much? I'm not sure yet. Thanks for a good question.

Ex-wife from hell sounds cliché and not so promising but I still like the sound of this. I haven't read a good gfy for a while.

He's not my cup of tea. Seriously, I couldn't get into his style.

I like Neil a whole lot. Enjoying the overall experience, although I did feel a rainbow of emotions reading it.

There's non consentual drugging, though, that made me shake with rage and in consequence I'm starting book 2 right now but I'm not sure I'd ever be up to rereading this one. Even after having been told there are clues and explanations I'd get after I've read the whole series. I'm a vindictive person and Neil forgives too easily.

It's a fine book. Probably it's the best of the first ten ones, I liked the plot (there was!), the quarrels, the fights, everything.

I liked this book much more than Lover Enshrined, and not only because I like Rehvenge and Phury annoys me.

What I didn't like at all was the fact that there wasn't almost anything about the Blay-Qhuinn subplot and not any development in that particular conflict.
Now that I have read Lover Mine and it's confirmed that Blay & Qhuinn will have their happily everr after, I'm calmer, breathe deaper and can reread the book more joyfully. Still, I can't wait for Qhuinn and Blay!

It's not my favorite HP novel. Although, you wouldn't guess by the number of times I've read it or by my desire to do a reread at this very moment.

I love the premise, I love the journey, I love how it didn't make the MC a heartless jerk, I love the characters, I love me some politics and well executed revenge.

There just needs to be some closure to that revenge, you know. Fingers crossed I get to read it.

I'm not familiar with the Circus series this is part of, but I liked the ties it has with the [bc:Dance with the Devil 30453724 Dance with the Devil (Dance with the Devil, #1) Megan Derr https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1465504885l/30453724.SY75.jpg 18448707] series.I missed that Ontoniel has a lover. Is it Phil? It has to be Phil, right? Was it in book 8? In book 7? In one of the short stories I have not read?I'm not familiar with Wyatt and Deacon, and at this point I have no idea what Ned's other name is and who the third name-dropped demon even is, but all of that doesn't matter. The reconnecting with Amr and Ken, with Devlin and Neirin, with Ontoniel and Johnnie was greatly appreciated. And I am - very, very patiently - waiting for the story of Ceadda and Ash, hopefully with some happy Midnight and jealous Devlin on the side.As for this story itself: kinda meh, to be honest. Phoenix and his subzero self worth were not my jam. Jebb was okay bur like... not interesting. The circus... I don't even know.

I liked it. It was fresh and funny, witty (sometimes) and foolish most of the time. It's perfect for relaxing.

I finally, finally got to it. Verdict: I like it.

Booked for when I feel incredibly masochistic.

I haven't read the book, save for a slutty Jean containing excerpt a year (maybe more, who knows?) ago, when I was just beginning to read m/m. I've just read three - or four, or five, I stopped counting after I started crying - reviews and some very heartbreaking quotes.

Result: I'm a mess.

What I know: This is raw and painful and brutal. Beautiful and evoking strong emotions. Honest and hurting. And unbelievably infuriating. And I am NOT reading it. For the time being.

O_O FSoG is on GR in this original variant too? I find that... something. Amusing might be a word for it.

I don't remember a thing about it but I know I've read it. Moved it around even.

One word: awesome!
One sentence: The waiting is frustrating.

The one with the Mrs Maddox tattoo, in case I forget again. You know, the one that is marketed in Bulgaria (and probably not only here) as the college version of Fifty Shades of Grey.

Note to self: Do not go there.

Love it. Well, some parts more than others. I am a huge Qhuay fan and just can't wait for Lover Unlieshed or the Blay&Qhuinn novella.
Since I like John (and Xhex), I enjoyed the rest of the novel, too. But the first time I read it, I admit to skipping those parts to see what happens to Blay and Qhuinn. Couldn't help it!

AUFIDIUS
O Marcius, Marcius!
Each word thou hast spoke hath weeded from my heart
A root of ancient envy. If Jupiter
Should from yond cloud speak divine things,
And say ‘Tis true,' I'ld not believe them more
Than thee, all noble Marcius. Let me twine
Mine arms about that body, where against
My grained ash an hundred times hath broke
And scarr'd the moon with splinters: here I clip
The anvil of my sword, and do contest
As hotly and as nobly with thy love
As ever in ambitious strength I did
Contend against thy valour. Know thou first,
I loved the maid I married; never man
Sigh'd truer breath; but that I see thee here,
Thou noble thing! more dances my rapt heart
Than when I first my wedded mistress saw
Bestride my threshold. Why, thou Mars! I tell thee,
We have a power on foot; and I had purpose
Once more to hew thy target from thy brawn,
Or lose mine arm fort: thou hast beat me out
Twelve several times, and I have nightly since
Dreamt of encounters ‘twixt thyself and me;
We have been down together in my sleep,
Unbuckling helms, fisting each other's throat,
And waked half dead with nothing. Worthy Marcius,
Had we no quarrel else to Rome, but that
Thou art thence banish'd, we would muster all
From twelve to seventy, and pouring war
Into the bowels of ungrateful Rome,
Like a bold flood o'er-bear. O, come, go in,
And take our friendly senators by the hands;
Who now are here, taking their leaves of me,
Who am prepared against your territories,
Though not for Rome itself.

CORIOLANUS
You bless me, gods!

AUFIDIUS
Therefore, most absolute sir, if thou wilt have
The leading of thine own revenges, take
The one half of my commission; and set down—
As best thou art experienced, since thou know'st
Thy country's strength and weakness,—thine own ways;
Whether to knock against the gates of Rome,
Or rudely visit them in parts remote,
To fright them, ere destroy. But come in:
Let me commend thee first to those that shall
Say yea to thy desires. A thousand welcomes!
And more a friend than e'er an enemy;
Yet, Marcius, that was much. Your hand: most welcome!
