A star for every time this book makes me cry

Wild. Well written. Wow.

I didn't plan on crying several times. Well done Gad.

Don't give up. It's worth it

I have a weird relationship with JV because I like the team even when it was 5280 and I am from Denver so it came up as a pro as I was getting in to pro cycling and it will always be my favorite team but JV is polarizing and he says so himself.

I thought he shouldn't read his audiobook because he isn't the best reader but, it helps you understand him more i guess. I waited 5 years before reading it on purpose.

fucking amazing. she is and will be missed.

I love everything he does. This was heart wrenching but he went through hell and it's just a glimpse into how horrible childhood cancer is

Best audio book memoir this year. She barely read the book and I loved it. She's read the acknowledgement and's even that's amazing.

This is a must listen instead of the book version

this book is creepy and pretty dirty. 2 stars because of the creative ways to describe genitals without repeating over and over.

This book could have been 47 hours and I would still give it 5 starts. 5 hours is too short. Malcom Gladwell does get a little Gladwell'y but that's cool I guess. If you love Paul Simon listen to this.

If you like murder and bad similes then do I have the book for you!

this book is insane and should be like 3 books? He is such a great writer and so confusing. cool about the new orleans stuff. not sure if I will read the #2 about his sister- that whole bit was confusing too. Audibook narrators killed it though!

I think this is the housewife literature type of book? How are people saying it's beautifully written? It's not.

I might be in the minority but is wasn't the content, but the delivery. I don't think author's should read their audiobooks, this one in particular. I guess you can just publish your mfa ridden live journal into a book. Her other book was good, this one not so much.

This is the most disappointing piece of work from one of my favorite authors.

I might not be smart enough to get it.

really? this is supposed to be good? eh.

I love Chuck. This book was weird. Not chuck weird but like sci fi that's a wild story line. I am not sure if happy about this book or confused. I love his books and his uniqueness but this was a bit far fetched. I read it in half a day so it's a quick read.

Pretty good stuff. I am more excited now that we will get a sequel to this story but as the lead character visiting earth as a ghost.

If you love her humor in her tweets then you will enjoy this book.

Just finished. This seris is amazing and I lost a great deal of sleep because of them. If you finish them and watch the sweedish movies, they did a great job, to bad america is going to ruin the films. Wish the 4th and 5th book on Steig's laptop were finished.

A lot of the reviews here are saying how uncomfortable this is. Race shouldn't be uncomfortable and we will never achieve racial equality sadly. Maybe books like this will put perspective in new hands... Ending was kinda crap.

As a New Orleanian, I am partially convinced this book was funded by Mobile Mardi Gras Society or the Alabama Tourism Board to bring awareness to Mardi Gras origins in Mobile, but New Orleans does it bigger, longer and well better.
