I really love this world, but there was a lot of lost story. They would be doing something, then at the next page they were somewhere else. Made me question whether I missed a sentence or not. Also it was 95% action, 5% break for the characters. Probably why I've spend so logn trying to get through it.
It's not a bad book, you just don't get a break from the action.
Holy macaroni.
You can read this book even if you haven't played any of the KOTOR games. You just wouldn't know many of the characters (unless you've played SWTOR).
We're introduced to some of our KOTOR gang again and they embark on a new adventure to figure out what Revan is dreaming about.
The ending had my brain in shambles, and you have to read it to understand why.
Spice: 0.5 stars
Book itself: 2 stars
I have not read the first book and I don't know if I would've enjoyed this more if I had but to be honest, it was quite dull. It was interesting enough in the beginning - then it got dull as we met the “love interest”.
No chemistry between the characters, medium-burn romance, where we first get the romance aspect at the last 50-ish pages.
Hopefully the 3rd book is better.
3.5 stars.
Spice 2 stars.
My first book by W.S. Greer (thank you Booktok!) and it wont be the last despite the 3.5 star rating. This is my 2nd romance written by a man, and this time I was not disappointed! Greer writes women great and doesn't make them seem like sluts. The sex scenes are also written decently. So kudos to you Greer!
I went into this book thinking it would be romance. But it's more action than romance. Sure there is a romance between Amari and Gianna, but it's not the important part of the book. The important part of the book is Amari wanting his own empire and then he gets mixed in with the mafia.
Ingen kender kuren. Men måske kan den udvalgte finde den?
We're back with the gang - this time as High School seniors! (unfortunately the only mention of a kissing booth is twice).
Elle and Noah are on the long distance phrase of their relationship, and it has it's ups and lows. We're met with some of the difficulties of long distance and some of the worrying parts of long distance.
We get the usual romance drama when one is overthinking stuff and we get the “I don't know if I like you or not”-friend trope.
Even though I pummelled through this book. My weak heart for sappy romance novels just can't stop itself.
When I first began reading this book, I got told by some friends that you should read Tolkien like poems. They have some truth to that. It's not a book meant to rush through; sit back and enjoy the journey with our favourite Fellowship.
It's obvious by the style of writing it's an older book, so if you're not into that, don't do it.
Nonetheless give it a chance. You will not find a book full of action, but full of a journey through treacherous land where danger now lurks.
4.5 stars.
What a wild ride.
I had to put the book down around the 50% mark, as I simply couldn't continue reading. Not because the book itself was bad, but because over the span of these three books I couldn't accept that some might have to die (I've heard Maas is good at that).
From around 60% and to the end there's much more action than the beginning of the book.
