A book with good promise, but somewhat bad executed.
It dragged out too much and when the two protagonists finally meet, its boring and not worth the build-up.

Your usual “you're famous now, you do stuff, will we survive”-story. It's decent enough.

I now wish I could understand my dogs thoughts. I rarely cry because of books, but that chapter had me crying.
The general theme of the book is also lowkey gut-wrecking. But you'll have to read the book to find out. Best to go in blind.

So I decided to go out of my comfort zone and try something new.
The new thing was the Doll Factory. Thriller/suspense, not something I usually read.
I got to admit the first part of the book is alright, but the last few pages had me on my toes.

If you're into super repetitive books, have a go at it.
I was super close to DNF'ing it midway through but gave it the benefit of the doubt. It was a mediocre read.

So much better than I had hoped!
Chemistry between the love interest from the very beginning to the end - we stan!

If you're looking for the following tropes, give it a go:
- Long lost princess
- Magic banned in kingdom
- Quick redemption arc
- Pirates
- “I want to hate you, but I love you”

Phew, what a ride!
If you're here after watching the movie, then you ought to know the book is vastly different.
Also I can recommend reading it while listening to the movie soundtrack

lots of emotions right now

So the booktok hype was real this time around.

REREAD 20/08-23:
Still as good as the first time around. Still lives up to the original hype. I now got the special edition in my collection, and I liked the extra novellas

3.5 stars
Spice 3.5/5 stars

So unfortunately another overhyped book by booktok. Don't get me wrong, the story was alright for the short 90 pages we're in it. But the smuttier side of booktok overhyped the smut WAAAAY more than it actually is. It's pretty decent smut, but not like panty-dropping.

Whew, what a rollecoaster!
You have action from the beginning to the end.
It's your normal mate story with the dark, broody alpha male that finds his one-true-lifemate.

3.5 stars.
It's been a while since I've played the game, so I don't quite remember it. But if you don't want to play the game and only read the books, you can do that; they follow the same story.
The last 50 pages were long-winded and could've been summed up faster.

The Cassian/Feyre banter had me rolling

2.5 stars.
The spice was nice in both novellas, but the stories were the same billionaire love stories.

It was alright, not as spicy as I thought.
The characters were kinda bland, not even our female protagonist plot twist could change that. The epilogue didn't make me want to find out what happens next.
There was chemistry between the character, but it wasn't explored very well.
