1 Book
See allFunny, thrilling and heartwarming. I really liked this one. I randomly decided to read this because of the title. It sounded like a silly idea for a story. Glad I gave it a chance. I didn't feel confused due to it being the third book in the series. I had no idea it was a series before I grabbed it from the library. Going to read the first 2 after this for sure.
Endless descriptions of architecture. It's a short novel that felt like it went on for a lifetime. I was like Piranesi for a while, I couldn't escape the never ending babble of this book. Even speed reading was a slog. I should have stopped when I wasn't enjoying it originally. Definitely not as interesting as I imagined.
Not sure exactly how to rate this one. I really liked the beginning and the end was amazing. But I really didn't enjoy the very long section following Martim. I get why it was in there but it just felt a bit too long. Otherwise a very worthwhile read. I'd rate this closer to 3.75 stars but rounded up.
