This series just keeps getting better! I love it so much!
Just when Toby thinks she can relax, somebody decides they want to start a war.
I don't want to say anything else or I might spoil it for you.
I love fantasy. Usually epic fantasy. But there is so much to love about this urban fantasy series! I recommend this to everyone.
3.5 stars
This is a cute book.
Violet's dad got a new job, so they have to move. They are moving to a town called Perfect.
Shortly after arriving in Perfect, Violet is told that everyone there goes blind and has to wear special glasses to see. Also, everyone in Perfect is actually perfect. Violet knows she'll never fit in, but who wants to be perfect anyway?
I enjoyed this one. I need to get the next one soon.
Twelve immortal kings rule Sharakhai. They are cruel, ruthless, and they control everything.
Ceda hates the kings. She has vowed to kill them one day.
This book is fantastic! I loved every minute. The world is fascinating. I love the characters, especially Ceda and Emre.
If you like fantasy, you will love this. I will definitely continue on with the series.
Sophie has always known she was different. She just doesn't quite fit in. She can also hear everyone's thoughts. She doesn't know why she can do this, just that she can.
Until, she meets Fitz. Then her whole life changes.
I cannot say enough good things about this book! I couldn't put it down, I didn't want it to end. I already ordered the next 2 books!
I loved this one!
A boy, a girl cursed and turned into a rat, and a dracogriff find each other and become friends. Each of them have a personal mission to complete. While helping each other, they realize that everything leads to one common goal. Stopping the Piper of Hamelyn.
I loved this book so much. These characters quickly became some of my favorites. I have to read the next one to find out what happens.
I loved this book!
The best ships have been built with the bones of dragons. These ships have been used to fight an endless war. The ships outlived the dragons until now. There has been a dragon sighting. Both sides want to get their hands on it. Some to use for ships, some to finally stop the war.
This is one of those books that stayed with me even when I wasn't reading it. That tells me it is well worth 5 stars.
The story is fantastic. The characters are great and grow on you page after page. And I loved the gullaime!
This is my first time reading anything by this author and now I'm a big fan.
I was obviously meant to read and love this book because I won a copy here on Goodreads and was approved by Net Galley.
Every twelve year the tides recede enough for the Moontide Bridge to be above water. Every twelve years there is war.
It is almost time for the bridge to rise. Preparations begin on both sides.
This book is amazing! There is so much political intrigue, the world building is fantastic, and I fell in love with these characters. Even though this is quite the chunker, it is a pretty quick read. I was so attached to the characters, I just had to find out what would happen next. I love the magic system. The mages are all fascinating. The ending left me wanting more.
If you like epic fantasy, you should definitely give this one a go.
Alice and her mom move around a lot. It seems like bad luck follows them everywhere. When it catches them, they move on to the next place.
When they get a letter telling them that Alice's grandmother has passed away the bad luck gets even worse. Alice didn't know her grandmother, but now she feels compelled to find out everything she can about her and the strange and reclusive life she lived.
This book was ok. I thought the best part was the last half. It was interesting enough that I will read the next one.
Short stories are not my thing, but I love Seanan McGuire and have to read everything by her. That being said, I gave it 3 stars based on my enjoyment. Her writing is still fabulous, I just don't enjoy short stories very much. I did like the story about the outbreak. It was scary because it could really happen.
I received a copy from Net Galley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
