I got half way thru this book before I remembered I'd read it before! Completed it again and still enjoyed it!

Read the book and watched the 1994 BBC series based on the book! Enjoyed them both.
Did have a bit of trouble with the British slang at times!

This is the 3rd book I've read in this series and again I enjoyed it! D.N.

The current queen of plot twists really put the surprises into this book! One of the best last 100 pages of a book I've ever read! David N.

Read the book while also watching the TV Episodes from BBC 1992!

This book was recommended on YouTube mainly for the big surprise at the end! I like mysteries with Twists/Surprises.
Sorry to say this book did not do the job! Characters were OK except for the husband who could not keep his cool or his mouth shut. The surprise didn't amount to much either!!

Needed a short cozy and this looked interesting! Book is a book #1 in a series, set in the 1930's England, amateur rich female sleuth in high society London w her crazy aunt! Really enjoyed it and will be trying book 2 in about 3 weeks! David N.

Most of the book described what the explorers saw and was thinking at the time. Not a lot of dialog.
The original idea for the book is probably why it is considered a classic!
Rent the 1959 movie with the same title with James Mason & Pat Boone, Seen it in 59 and still watch it at least once a year. David N.

My 1st Gothic novel from an author who has her own channel on YouTube! I've been watching her videos for the past 3 weeks and this was her 1st novel released in 2023, I had to give it a try!
Cons
Great characters (Not too many or too few)
Lots of dialog between characters
Good descriptions of locations, feelings, thoughts etc. Short and informative
Great mystery with lots of little mysteries thrown in (I normally read mysteries)
A couple of great twists and surprises I didn't see coming
Romance

I'm now a follower of Katie Lumsden both on YT and on GoodReads! Her next book is due out

I read this book thinking this was an adult mystery and very unhappy I didn't check what this was about. I think this could have been sold as a YA fiction book. The F word was used 3 times and all in one sentence, still a YA book.
I enjoy books when there is a lot of dialog between characters, only toward the end did this have the dialog.
Anyway I gave it a 4 rating as a YA book!! David N.

This is a good one!!!!
Great Mystery, Good Story, Good Characters and some humor thru out the book! I usually read books that have been winners/nominees of book reading awards however this book just came out so no awards yet. I expect some awards in early 2025

I gave this book a 5 being one of the greatest mysteries of all time on many lists! However I still
can't stand the main character, that being Hercule Poirot! While I was reading the story I was also
watching the BBC TV Episode of the book at the same time. I know most fans of Christie love him but I don't like how he walks (Like a Penguin), his mustache or accent! I know I will get some criticism for this review! Most people who like mysteries will love this book!! David N.

Great book! However,didn't like the fact that there were over 90 chapters! They are working on a TV Miniseries! David N.

Saw the cover, liked the cover and the book was good too. Book collecting male vampire and book collecting female human meet in a bookstore. Sparks start on sight and lead to a good ending.
