40 Page Fantasy Novella! I still have trouble reading SF & Fantasy books! This was a bit easier to understand! If you are new to Fantasy this may be a good starter book! David N.

Novella, 120 Pages! I thought this was a good short mystery. Courtroom battle with a mystery solved at the end! I believed this is book 1 of a series and I'll have to check out book 2! David N.

I was gonna stop reading this because it seemed so slow up to the 30% part of the book but big surprises after that! Turns into a thriller with more surprises. 300 Pages, a bit slow in the beginning but don't give up on it, you will be glad you did not!!! David N.

Watch the series on TV and enjoyed and thought I'd try the book. Book of course was even better. Great mystery, characters & lots of crime procedures. Read the books first, then watch the 4 seasons of Cardinal, each season (6 Episodes) relates to 1 book! Great actors and scenery of Canada. David N.

Romance, Erotic, Novella, 70 Pages! Female cat burglar gets into Billionaire house assuming he is not home. Surprise, he's home! Romance follows! Warning - The romance is explicit and may not suit all readers! David N.

The mystery was great but way too little of it! Too much “Fluff” on restoring an old house and as per any Romance - I didn't feel it was handle in a way to make this a cozy mystery! David N.

A spoon that was lost in childhood means much to an X Amish police man is the center of attention. No bodies or suspects as such. Gives a little insight into Amish life styles.

Book started off well until the changing of so many lives. Tended to become just a bit boring for me.
Started skimming thru pages near the end! Anyone who likes Fantasy should enjoy this, I just not so much into Fantasy but read it for the award! David N.

This is the 2nd Pulitzer prize poetry book I've tried recently and I found this a little easier to understand. Involves around the black soldiers that fought during the civil war.

This was a great mystery! Great characters, lots of suspects, location and the lead character is the deft owner of a 2 person newspaper (Gives her reason to ask questions & get involved).

I don't think this can be called a cozy mystery (Good Reads listed it as such). There were a few strong words in the book but didn't bother me!

I normally read Award Books & Cozy Mysteries but decided to try something new in between books.
The author of this book sent me this Novella (1st book in series) and I seen it was a Paranormal Romance, I'm 74 yrs old and said why not, only 65 pages, give it a try!
This was one of the better books I've read lately! Great characters (The main character's 2 female friends has her back covered all the time and are funny), a bit of a mystery in the book and this is a great introduction to the series! You will likely want to read the next book in the series!

Agatha Award for Best Historical Novel (2021), Cozy Mystery, 300 Pages.
This was a great book, very good mystery, great characters and 2 big surprises 3/4 thru the book.
Takes place in England in the 1920's, involves upper class society, housemaids, etc. Author describes locations well! Read other readers reviews, I'm not good at reviews! Try the book! David N.

This is my 1st book of poetry I've ever read and I may have gotten in a bit over my head.
56 Short Poems dealing with mother nature, seasons, life & death! Will admit that the poems did overwhelm me but glad I did try this out and promise to try another book of poetry soon (Maybe a Beginner's Guide to Poetry).
If you read poetry often you will understand why this book won the Pulitzer Prize, but if you are new to poetry you may want to start with an easier to understand collection! David N.

I like award books and cozy mysteries and I got the best of both in this book.
Author's 1st novel and this was a good one. Great characters, location (Egypt), era (Late 1920's), lots of suspects, surprises and a very good mystery!
Author did a great job of describing a short trip to the pyramids and hotel life in Egypt.

From my last book I read (Cozy Mystery) to this book was quite a leap! Takes place in New York City along the East River and housing projects. Great characters trying to help each other getting over a missing girl and the murder of a young teenager's father. Everything is intertwined as are the characters. No spoilers here, I believe this was Ivy Pochoda's 1st novel! I will try her next book “These Women” up for more awards 2020! David N.

This was a great Cozy Mystery! #1 In a series, The author emailed me this during Christmas as a gift and turned out to be high on my Cozy Mystery Reads.
Takes place in Derbyshire at Charleton House. The theme is coffee. Most cozy mysteries lack a good mystery plot but this book put in a good one, kept me wondering Who & Why til the end!

Woman in Witness Protection thinks she is being stalked by the Mafia, calls her BF to come help her solve the mystery of what is going on. Small town, good characters, for some of you this will be a 2 hr read (Took me 2 days, slow reader)! David N.

Needed my last Christmas Cozy before 2022 and decided on a 120 page Kitchen Witch Mystery!
Mia has started a new catering service and with help from boyfriend, employee and Grandmother
must get ready for Christmas. A ghost begins making her appearance before Mia asking help in finding who killed her many years ago. It's up to Mia and friends to solve the mystery and also keep the new catering service at the same time.

Main characters are a Tarot card reader, 2 SPA organizers and a deaf mute. Takes place in Atlantic City during economic tough times. All characters are down on luck and carry baggage!
Tarot card reader starts seeing visions of murdered young girls but not enough to locate girls. She and the 2 female SPA organizers work together to figure this out!

Novella, 140 Pages, Not a cozy & really not a mystery but a quick fun read.
Gina, Daughter of a mob boss must leave her jewelry store for a week, when she returns she finds
her cousin Carmine who worked the store for a week had been selling fake diamond rings during the time. Gina must find a way to get the real diamonds back, set into rings and exchange the real rings with the fakes without her customers knowing about it or her reputation could be ruined.

Good mob characters (Including names) , no killings, Gay cousin Nico is fun and the main character Gina has a lot of quick funny remarks concerning the being associated with the mob!
