Really surprised I liked this book. I'm a senior and sometimes have problems understanding SF books but this was real easy. I believe this novella won some awards from the Nebula book site. Great characters, didn't remember any strong language either! I believe this is the 1st book in a series!

I read mostly mysteries and this is one of the best I've read in the past 6 months! The 2 main characters are not the best of friends in the beginning but start warming up to each other as the book goes along and they are a perfect pr. Will be trying book 2 in the near future! David N.

This is my 1st totally Thriller/Suspense book I've read. I'm a mystery fan and thought I would try something new. The author seemed to throw alot of cyber terms which I don't know if he was making them up as he went along. The main character was not what I would imagine as a “Hero” type but for the most part it was a fairly good read. If you like this type of book you will enjoy it, I think I will go back to Mysteries! This is the 2nd book I've read in the series and except for the main character's lover of dogs I thought this was a good book. Not too much thrills, which I like, and good characters - especially the Mother & Father of the kidnapped girl. Try it! David N.

Main character has a great wise cracking partner. Read the book I think you will like if you like mysteries!

I must say I really liked the book! Lady killer, killing off all the guests that stayed at a hotel the same time she was there, what was the reason and what did those guests have in common. It starts off a bit slow but keeps building suspense thru out the book - Also a big surprise at the end! The main FBI agent is a dog lover, I'm not, but I still gave it a 5. Try this book for a short good read! David N.

This book won the 2019 Edgar Award for Best 1st Novel! I was under the idea that the Edgar Awards were for mysteries, There was hardly any mystery in this book. It was a bit suspenseful at the end!

This is the 2nd Merry and Bright Handcrafted Mystery book I've read! The 1st was absolutely great and I would have given this book a rating of 5 if not for 1 single page in the book. If I was to tell you it may be considered a spoiler so I will leave it out. However it changed my whole opinion of the main character and now not sure if I want to read the next one in the series! There was a great mystery in the book and you will probably like it for that but one page ruined this 6 day read for me! David N

I didn't know that. If you want to know how to pick out a halloween costume, different cookies, deliver a baby calf etc then you would like this. This won the Thriller Award for 2019 for Best First Novel! There are so many twists/surprises in this book I wished it would just keep going! Involves a group of 12 year olds in 1986 and then the same group in 2016. Story keeps going back and forth in the years. That's all I will tell but this is the 4th
award winning book in a row that I have read and all have been great! David N.

Could be the best book I've read this year! Mystery, Suspense surrounding a girls boarding school in
the early 1950's and the present. One of those kind of books that I was sneaking in a few minutes reading much more often then usual! David N

This book won the Edgar Award 2019 PB Original. I try to read 2 award winning books and 2 classics each month.
This was one of my best reads in over a year. Good dialog, characters, mystery, surprises (Lots), author brings out the emotions in the characters. Read this if you like mysteries I'm pretty sure you will like it! DN
