Feel good romance, funny, great in its kind. A very light read.

This book has the depth of a saucer.

Well written, but the story was alas rather simple. And a tad repetitive in the emotional descriptions. For a writer of his originality, I would have expected a more intricate plot and mor development in the characters.

Interesting, though not earth shatteringly new to me. He takes a long time to wrap it up. I was most interested in his positive account of the influence the marine had on him.

Flutboekje. Bij elkaar gegoogeld. De plaatjes van hersengebieden voegen niets toe aan het begrip. Eigenlijk kop noch staart.

3 or 4 stars? I like the new subgenre of senior citizen sleuthing, and this book was well plotted. And yet it felt a bit flat. Too many feel good components smashed together, too little enitional involvement on my part.

Lovely, charming, funny.

By now I am getting bored with this series. The plot of this particular book was very thin and the love story is getting weird.

Addictive, over the top soap on paper. Crazy amount of bones found over short periods of time ;-) Romance too, but rather businesslike.

A great tearjerker of a book. Very romantic. For if you are very tired of Brexit, politicians not acting on climate change, teenagers ignoring you etc. Vacation read.

Abandoned. Good writing but flat characters, I could not really be bothered to know how they fared.

Grumpy inspector solves riddle in no time, where everone else fails. Typical Nordic realism.

A touch over sweet, yet enjoyable. I liked the first one better.

Addictive, funny, weird.

Awesome author.

Very witty, yet the story does not grab me. Reading this as an audiobook, I should try a paper one. I loved his other series about the Gower street detectives.

Origineel, boos, geestig, een mishmash van straattaal en amtelijke taal en cliché's en politiek essay en porno - maar prettig en indrukwekkend. Een mooie eigen stem. Redactie matig, veel kleine taalfoutjes.

A bleak story. Nasty dubject matter. I could not find anything or anyone to really like, so I stopped reading halfway through.

A book with a protagonist who feels like a friend. Awesome writer. In simplicity of style and ease of reading comparable to Lee Child, but better. His characters are more rounded. Nicer. Warmer.

I enjoyed this title a lot - you are in Hirsch's mind throughout the book, and always in the present, yet not a page is boring. Nice wrap up at the end.

I stopped reading halfway. Too gruesome for me. The forensic psychologist is great - her analyses supernaturally good.

Nice story. A somewhat smaller one than the other three. But still a great read.

Nice as audiobook. Might not be so great on paper. Audiobooks can be greatly improved with good performance.

Started this, but it features a most unsympathetic criminal that I cannot stomach. Abandoned.
