This was an incredible memoir which talks about the importance of education and how it can change someones life. Most of my family has now read it and everyone has loved it. So much power in her stories!
I expected some intense ending but not to lead to death, maybe him being shunned from his community and evidently the men being taken away by immigration. Maybe him killing others? But him dying did create a sense of peace in me, like a big stress had finally disappeared some sense of relief. He didn't deserve what came for him, however that is never an answer, then why did it feel fair? The characters can I live in peace but what will happen to them? What does the future for Marco and Beatrice hold? I want to think that it will turn out better for them. Marco has finally transformed his character has finally developed right at the end, it took him long enough...
I have no clue what will happen to Beatrice. Catherine and Rodopho can finally begin your new life, they are the ones better off to be honest, this whole affair began because of them it began for them yet they are the ones better off. I hope they take advantage of your new life.
They were to an extent naïve and young, however they of course didn't mean any of this to happen, they were good and did not deserve any of this. however this whole play did begin because of them.
