I can't say that this is badly written and does not deserve your time. It's actually fair in terms of writing and storyline. The thing is... I did not get what the Daddy thing was about and was intrigued (tldr, it's a kink where two partners are in a sexual relationship but outside of that, the woman is taken care of as if she was a little girl and the man acts as a daddy caretaker; this might be a little tldr and I hope I'm not missing a key part but that's the gist of it). I'm sure there are people who take pleasure in this (obviously or there wouldn't be a market for it) but this is just so not for me. I was quite creeped out by the interactions, which is a shame because some of the ideas in the book were quite sound.
All in all, it's a DNF for me but if you're into this kink, the writing seems super solid so I'd go for this author if it was my thing.
I was confused by this book because of what I read from the summary and the story. I felt like I was asked to get invested in characters that weren't the supposed main heroes and it felt weird. I get that the FMC was still the FMC but it's too much time invested in a MMC that's not “the one”. Yeah, real life is a bit like that but I don't always read to have real life staring back at me so.... DNF
I'm trying a lot of things lately that do nothing for me. I think I'm just going to go back to safe authors. I like the idea of this but the execution was so stupid. I hate when characters just do stupid things that ruin their lives and especially when they keep on making stupid decisions even years later.
