I was so excited to read this book and yes I mainly wanted to read it because it was a Hawaiian mafia story. The book was written in third person and it threw me for a loop considering I don’t really like reading books written in third person but I put my issue with that aside and went for it. I won’t lie after going through 64% of the book I considered DNFing, not because the story wasn’t good but because there was no mention of r@pe when I first looked into the book thankfully I kept reading and realized that it was attempted but never actually went through with it for obvious reasons that you will have to read to find out (hehehehehe). I cannot for the life of me stand Mahina (at times), this woman doesn’t listen and she makes excuse after excuse as to why she can’t leave her husband, blaming herself as if she were the reason the marriage wasn’t working out. Like, miss girl should’ve gotten rid of him from the moment he was introduced. As you could tell, I absolutely hated her husband, he was a good for nothing liar and drunk and I didn’t doubt for a second that he was cheating on that woman and the nerve he had to insult her and claim the house and everything in it as his own when she was the breadwinner pissed me off but then again she didn’t want anything to do with that man or the house. As far as favorite characters in this book goes, obviously the MMC is number one followed by the FMC’s son Benjamin, he was just the sweetest and it was nice to see how close he was with his mother even if she did irk my soul most of the time. Although it was written in third person I cannot wait for the second book though because the ending, it definitely wasn’t IT for me.

Now I despise that ending and despise Valentina’s grandmother even more. There’s just something about family members that refuse to accept their place and accept that the MCs are capable of making their own decisions that ticks me off. I’m excited to see what happens in book two and can’t wait to get into it. If you love lots of “my wife”, possessive jealous men, and touch her and die vibes then you’ll surely enjoy this one.

This was a cute read, only thing is that Ace was way too whiny for me at first 😂😂 those 🌶️ scenes though so make up for it. I absolutely loved Payton, the way she wasn’t afraid to ask for what she wanted, her confidence! She was definitely my favorite character. Also loved the boy group, Lux with his cooking for the boys was so cute to me. 100% recommend.

Lies get exposed and to top it all off, someone has run out with Natalie’s life savings and she has no cell service to try and get to the bottom of it.
First time reader of Leah Cupps and I’m excited to say that it won’t be the last! WHAT. A. READ! That plot twist definitely got me, this book was written so well. If you know me, then you know I absolutely love a good book that gets you thinking. While I was busy looking for things that would justify my blaming Hudson for everything that happened with Tess (his college best friend) I didn’t think there could be another person to blame, I was so hellbent on it being Hudson. The ending could’ve been better, death was an easy way out for the one who was truly to blame for Tess’ disappearance and Natalie’s money issues and the epilogue was not what I expected but at least I got some answers I needed. Overall this was a great read.

I absolutely loved this book and the ending was better than I expected. If the previous books are as good as this one then I definitely need to sit down and get to those. The only thing I would change in this book is the fact that he didn’t grovel enough for me. After what he did to her and how he made her feel he needed to grovel a lot more and she should’ve made him work for it. But other than that it was a great book.

I’m a total sucker for the age gap trope, so you know that when I saw this book I HAD TO read it. It’s my first J.R. Gale book and I honestly cannot wait for the next book. This was a cute read with its fair share of drama, chaos and sadness. Only issue is when Juliette made the decision to give Harrison and Claudina space they didn’t ask for but then again I always have an issue when it comes to the FMC choosing to stay away from the MMC because of an ACCIDENT but I am glad that they worked that out.

I’m a total sucker for the age gap trope, so you know that when I saw this book I HAD TO read it. It’s my first J.R. Gale book and I honestly cannot wait for the next book. This was a cute read with its fair share of drama, chaos and sadness. Only issue is when Juliette made the decision to give Harrison and Claudina space they didn’t ask for but then again I always have an issue when it comes to the FMC choosing to stay away from the MMC because of an ACCIDENT but I am glad that they worked that out.

Boy was this book dirty! Jayce was very confusing and at times very hot except for when he pissed in that girl’s mouth, absolutely not. That was such a turn off. This book has a “choose your ending” bit and I quite enjoyed it. I did read both endings, with both endings I stay with the same questions… Why would anyone teach a child to do what Jayce was doing? AND WHY did a CHILD even want to learn anything about that? I personally would’ve been extremely creeped out and never went home with the man again. The revelations throughout the book had me shooketh, and that’s all I will say to avoid spoiling it for anybody else. If you pick this book up, enjoy you lil sl*t.

Is there any book that doesn’t include abusive, shitty parents?? My feelings about this book are all over the place. I hated the weakness from the FMC, the way she gave in knowing that some things were just not in her best interest. Her sister forcing her to go to her ceremony knowing that she didn’t want to go back to the castle didn’t sit right with me. No respect for boundaries. Typical from the favorite younger child.

(He’s not exactly random, he’s a prince and they’re somewhat friends, but still)
The ending left me with so many questions…

As mad as Josh had me this book was good. The tiktoks that I’ve seen about Josh’s book did not prepare me for chapter 46…. Josh did entirely too much. Yes, he was angry, rightfully so but he took it too far.

As mad as Josh had me this book was good. The tiktoks that I’ve seen about Josh’s book did not prepare me for chapter 46…. Josh did entirely too much. Yes, he was angry, rightfully so but he took it too far.

Belle, girl stand tf up! She’s better than me but I also think she’s kind of stupid (?). For one, if someone tells me their family is cursed I certainly would not marry into the family, idc how broke my family is or how hot the groom is. Two, being betrayed by a friend then going “ I don’t have it in me to hate him anymore” is insane. Girl hate that man until the end of time. The housekeeper or whatever she was to them, should’ve been fired at the first sign of hostility.
The “curse” (a murderer and not a curse) being who it was did shock me. He was the last person that I expected to be killing people. I kind of enjoyed finding that out but hated his reasoning for it. His sister being killed at a park and his parents being selfish and committing suicide, leaving him alone had absolutely nothing to do with that family and he still blamed them because his boss refused to chase after his sister???? Weird but okay.
I found myself getting bored with this book early on and honestly I should’ve figured out that this book was simply not for me before the 60% mark but I wanted to give it a chance…

Never a dull moment in the Diamond City series. Ruby City takes place a few years after Emerald City. I started this book a bit ago but with life and school I had to delay the ending. The way I ate the first half up. With the way the previous book ended I didn’t want Sage’s story to end but I was so invested in Ruby’s before I figured out that she not only looked but was indeed Sage herself suffering from Amnesia. I enjoyed going through the journey of her meeting her children and finding her love again. Loved the ending, this one was definitely my favorite but I can’t wait for the next one.

Never a dull moment in the Diamond City series. Ruby City takes place 30 years after Emerald City. I started this book a bit ago but with life and school I had to delay the ending. The way I ate the first half up. With the way the previous book ended I didn’t want Sage’s story to end but I was so invested in Ruby’s before I figured out that she not only looked but was indeed Sage herself suffering from Amnesia. I enjoyed going through the journey of her meeting her children and finding her love again. Loved the ending, this one was definitely my favorite but I can’t wait for the next one.

I ate this novella up. Once I started I just couldn’t put it down and I was definitely not ready for Wes & Lily’s story to end. I went in totally blind so imagine my surprise—and my excitement—when I noticed that the MMC was the FMC’s ex-boyfriend’s dad. The only thing that I wasn’t a really big fan of was the MMC calling the FMC “little girl”.
For those who want to know, the real fun begins in chapter 14 😏

I think I have thrown my dislike for the cheating trope out the window for good. I ate this book up, I loved the main characters and totally despised Adrian’s parents especially his dad. I kind of wish Matias would have made Adrian suffer a little more for how he handled the situation in their college days but it is what it is. I wasn’t a fan of Adrian’s wife because how can she not tell that her husband was not attracted to women? How did she not notice how tense he got when she touched him intimately? I blame her for being so blind. Regardless of the inconvenience (the wife) I really enjoyed this book and Matias & Adrian’s relationship.
“You know, people cheat on their spouses when they’re not happy”
That sentence coming from Charlotte when it did had me cackling because honey, you didn’t have to tell him that, he already knew that in fact he was already cheating by then so it’s not like he cared about it LMAO
Anyways, the spice was definitely spicing and if you are okay with the cheating trope I totally think you should give this book a chance.

For a read so short I found myself losing interest in it pretty quickly. The FMC was a bit annoying in my opinion. Usually, I am a sucker for enemies to lovers and this one just didn’t hit the spot for me.

For a read so short I found myself losing interest in it pretty quickly. The FMC was a bit annoying in my opinion. Usually, I am a sucker for enemies to lovers and this one just didn’t hit the spot for me.
