Boy falls first

Reverse age gap (FMC is 32, MMC is 21)

Small town romance

“You can talk about him. I don’t mind. He’s in your past, and I fully plan on being your future.” — Reid Astor Crawford

There is absolutely no way Micaela had me gasping, smiling and giggling all throughout this book. I went in blind as one does… 👀 no, just me? Well anyways, I didn’t expect the FMC to go on a date with the father of her one night stand. I didn’t expect this to be a 5 star read for me either but here we are.

“Why haven’t you told that lovesick golden retriever of a man that you’re in love with him?”

Izzy didn’t miss when she said he was a golden retriever, Reid was just the cutest, most patient book boyfriend and I could not get enough. This was such a cute read with its share of spice 🥵 of course and definitely kept me hooked from start to finish. I 100% recommend this read.

𝐓𝐖: this book does mention cheating (FMCs ex husband cheated on her hence her divorce and her moving to a small town). There is also the topic of infertility and domestic violence (again this has nothing to do with the MCs)

I’m not usually the type of reader that enjoys the troubled marriage trope but this book was a cute one. It was well written and I can really say that whenever I had the chance I was picking up my ipad to get back to this book. In this book Lauren feels unheard and unseen by her husband who never seems to spend much time with his family, his job came above all else and he wasn’t even noticing how that was affecting his marriage. That is until Lauren cancels their family trip and their kids find out about an appointment for Lauren with a divorce attorney, they come up with a clever plan to get the trip back on track–with help from Jack’s dad, of course to try and keep Jack & Lauren together. The ending was great for them and not at all the ending I was expecting.

I don’t usually read sci-fi fantasy romance books but this book was pretty entertaining. Took me a second to get in the loop but I got there and immediately took a liking to Sage and then Damian came along and I was so for it. I shipped them immediately. This was definitely a fun read for me with romance, smut, action, and pizza. If you’re into sci-fi this is definitely the book for you.

I was hooked from the very beginning and it was so well written. I haven’t read book 1 but I definitely have to. I loved this story even though Magnolia got a little annoying after the reveal but it was fine because Trip made up for the annoyance that was Magnolia. He was such a sweetheart and as I’ve stated before there’s something about a man that loves their partner’s child as if it were his own. He must be protected at all costs. The prologue ripped my heart in two for Trip and his best friend’s family but I thought it was super cute that he kept meeting up with his best friend’s parents for his birthday every year. I also absolutely despised Travis and I am actually glad he got the ending that he got, it was what he deserved.

WTF is that ending?! Respectfully! I’m absolutely in love with this book, with every single scene that involved Sly & Vinnie. I was all for the secrecy, loving it in fact but I was also impatiently waiting for one of them to say that they wanted everyone to know about them. I will say that Sly is obviously my favorite character and my favorite thing about him, he is a pleasure dom and I LOVE HIM FOR IT. It goes without saying that my least favorite characters are Joseph (Vinnie’s brother and tormentor) and August, Joseph’s friend and a total creep. They could both get hit by a 🚌 and I would dance and spit on their 🪦 after I was done. They deserve the worst ending possible in my opinion. Now that ending… wtf. was. that? I was ready for their happily ever after and all I got was a cliffhanger. I need to know who spilled their secret although I have someone in mind, and I am so ready to find out if my suspicions are correct so with that being said I needed the second book like yesterday. I have a couple of other books by A.R. in my kindle library but have yet to get around to them. I am so glad that I started with this masterpiece. Excellent writing.

It took me a bit to get to reading this book but once I found the time I couldn’t put it down. The story was well written. One thing I did hate about the book was what happened between Finn and Anya/Tarianya while Helian was away, had they not been attacked and poisoned I would’ve DNF’d it. I was honestly surprised that Radnor and Anya would mind-speak to each other and that no one questioned why until the very end. Asher irked my soul. He was so different from Finn which is probably why I disliked him from the very beginning, so rude. Finn was such a cutie though and as Anya said I found myself loving Finn quite easily. My heart broke for Helian after what happened between Anya and Finn but I’m ready to dive into the next book and see how he processes everything. If you’re into fae, witches, shifters, dragons, why choose and reverse harem then I feel like this is the book for you.

My heart hurts for Sly, he doesn’t know what truly happened but the pain he’s in just hurts my heart. I hate him meeting Rosie, I said what I said lol. I get it he’s heartbroken and believes that Vinnie doesn’t love him and chose August over him but come on SLY, FIGHT FOR YOUR WOMAN! What I wasn’t expecting in this novella was a bonus chapter let alone a bonus chapter that belonged to Vinnie and what a heartbreaking chapter it was, what she had to go through because of a psycho who’s been pulling strings with her psycho ass brother. I cannot wait for Sins of Bliss and I hope August gets exactly what he deserves. If you’ve read Sins of Sorrow then I recommend reading this novella so you can see how Sly chose to deal with his heartbreak, if you haven’t read Sins of Sorrow then you will not understand this novella. You do not need to read this novella to understand the duet.

My first ever read by Julia Jarrett and it did not disappoint one bit. I couldn’t put this one down. This the first in the Vancouver Tridents series and it was such a great start. This book follows Ronan Sinclair, a single father and baseball player, and Willow Lawson, a media relations staff member for the Vancouver Tridents. The two are on the same flight to Hawaii and they are constantly running into each other, they both agree to a hot vacation fling, no strings attached thinking that they would never have to see each other again but they get a little fun surprise when Ronan gets traded to Willow’s team. Ronan wasn’t aware that she worked for his new team, let alone that her uncle was the owner but that doesn’t stop him from going after what he wants. He’s persistent but the man is respectful.

I loved this book and the vibes, it was such a cute read for me. I love the single dad trope especially when it’s so perfectly executed. I always look forward to reading about the bonds the MCs have with the children involved, bonus points if the connection is instant. The team and side characters were all so great it’s kind of hard not to want a book for them, well maybe not everyone. That Lydia character was really something (and no, not in a good way), she was just the worst boss and I’m willing to bet we’ve all had a Lydia in our work lives at some point. The welcome the team extended to Ronan and his family was all so sweet. The epilogue was nicely done and a great ending to it as well. I cannot wait for the next book.

Erik is the human paired with Truda after she’s forced into the program to conceive a child that she doesn’t want. This book started a bit slow for me but once I got into it I simply couldn’t put it down. This is a slow burn, so take that for what it is, it’s SLOW and it doesn’t have as much spice as I usually read but the plot absolutely makes up for it. The world building and the writing itself was so good. Loved the strong Elf FMC. The only thing I would say I didn’t exactly like in this book was someone’s attitude when he didn’t get the answers he wanted(I’m looking at you Erik) everything else I enjoyed and I am very excited and ready to get into Acqueline’s story. This book is the first book of interconnected standalones and I need book two PRONTO.

This book follows Seneca & Malachi’s story and their upbringings couldn’t have been more different. You have Seneca, the sweetest boy that has been made to believe that being who he is, is wrong… The boy has been lied to and has gone through so much at the hands of those who were supposed to protect him the most. And then there’s Malachi, a boy with the biggest heart and loving and supportive parents, parents that have been preparing him for the inevitable with his father’s disease.

This book was so amazing, one of the few books to bring me to tears in the middle of the night. There was nothing that I couldn’t love about this story, except for maybe (not maybe, definitely) Sen’s parents & the sad excuse of a therapist his father was forcing him to go to. The anger I felt towards the toxic people in Sen’s life should be studied, if I could punch someone through a book I absolutely would. They deserve the worst and I was praying for an accident to happen with his parents just so he didn’t have to deal with their hatred, ambushes and manipulations anymore.

“𝑩𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒉𝒆’𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒃𝒂𝒅 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒈𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍, 𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒂𝒄, 𝒂 𝒍𝒂𝒘 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒑𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒇𝒇 𝒃𝒐𝒚𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅” - 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢 𝐀𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐫

When I tell you Kai had me kicking my freaking feet when he found out about the hell his man was put through in the conversion camp, I am not joking. I was living for it! I LOVED how patient and understanding Kai was of Sen's situation. Kai was very publicly gay and I know it was hard for him to suppress his feelings for Sen when they were in public. I loved that he didn’t push him into it and was willing to wait until Sen was ready.

“𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒔𝒊𝒏 𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆.’ 𝑵𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒊𝒕 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒋𝒖𝒅𝒈𝒆 𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔. 𝑴𝒚 𝒃𝒐𝒚𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅, 𝑲𝒂𝒊, 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝑰’𝒗𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒆𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒊𝒎, 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔.” - 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐚 𝐓𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐨𝐫

I was waiting for him to stand up to his family, how dare they try to ambush him on his christmas vacation. The man is better than me because I would’ve slept at the bus stop the minute they tried to control who I spoke to. Matter of fact I wouldn’t have even shown up knowing the way they felt about his sexuality and their conditions.

“𝑰𝒇 𝑲𝒂𝒊 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆, 𝒉𝒆’𝒅 𝒅𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆, 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕. 𝑺𝒐 𝒈𝒐 𝒂𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅, 𝒑𝒐𝒑𝒔. 𝑯𝒊𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏’𝒕 𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒊𝒎.” - 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞

The friendships that were formed were so wholesome. West might be my favorite, he wasn’t afraid to “square up”, the man tried solving everything with fists and it was hilarious. The way he didn’t hesitate to take punches for Sen did me in (happy tears of course). Sen truly found a family away from his parents and that made me extremely happy.

“𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒇𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆, 𝑲𝒂𝒊. 𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑰 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅. 𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒙𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒚 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒍 𝒇𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰’𝒎 𝒈𝒐𝒏𝒆.” - 𝐄𝐥𝐢 𝐀𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐫 (𝐊𝐚𝐢’𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫)

This story did hit a little close to home. I was not ready for the tears the scenes between Kai and his father caused. I really felt for Kai–understanding how hard it is to have such a close relative with Alzheimer’s and to have them not remember you is the worst. I appreciated that he had people in his corner that would help him through it.

It’d be easier to ask me what I disliked. I loved the twins and Conor, though Conor might be my favorite Ryan brother. The book was easy to read and it captures you immediately. I could not put this book down. Jessie had the best of four worlds. The spice was so good that I was kicking my feet and giggling.

Shane and his nasty attitude. I spent more time being annoyed with that man rather than enjoying the spice that involved him because of how he treated Jessie, time and time again. I also disliked Jessie giving in to him so quickly. Like girly please grow a damn backbone and stop letting him in the cat after the foul shit that left his mouth or after he treated her like she was a whore when they all wanted her and neither of them had an issue sharing her. I don’t care how hot that man was.

This book ends on a cliffhanger so I’m excited to get into the second book because I was not ready for that little plot twist and I NEED to know if the boys found Jessie and what they did after doing so!

Gia did get on my nerves just a bit but Tyler’s protectiveness made up for it. That twist towards the end was not expected, it literally made my jaw drop but I feel like Jenna may have forgotten how she felt about them and forgiven them a little too quickly (?) but that’s just me. Now why did they not let my boy Tyler grief without trash talking Mila? Like I get it, no one wants to see their brother or friend suffer but damn let him breathe, let him keep that loving memory of his wife without telling him that homegirl didn’t love him lol. This was an entertaining read and I recommend the entire series.

This is the first book I read from Vy Le and safe to say this won’t be the last. This is the first book in the Beneveti series and although I just finished Made To Sin and I am so ready for the second book. I absolutely loved everything about Katarina & Luciano’s relationship and when I say the man fell first & HARDER I mean it. There’s banter, there’s spice but there’s vulnerability as well. This is the book I would recommend to someone that was just starting to read dark romance. Your girl obviously skipped the trigger warnings and went in blind, and for those that know me, you know I usually skip the trigger warnings but I make sure that those who follow me know what to expect. This book starts right off the bat with domestic violence and drug use. For those who are not fans of the cheating trope, be aware that there is cheating mentioned but it is not between the FMC & the MMC. Overall this was a great read.

I enjoyed this book, I couldn’t put it down after I picked it up. This book follows Diarmuid and his three brides, Selene, Niamh and Amira. Amira being the least favorite for me, I truly could not stand her, she just seemed like she was doing too much and thought everyone was out to get her when in reality the only one out to get her was her own mother lol. With that being said just because I didn’t like her doesn’t mean her tantrums weren’t entertaining. This focused more on the mafia side which was great but I really needed Diarmuid to make his decision, who did he stay with? I especially love that this book was written in multiple POVs. I loved getting to read from each of their POVs and I cannot wait for the next book.

“You shut up… Should’ve killed you when I had my hands around your turkey neck.”

𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 ↴

This was a slow start for me but it eventually got there. The book is multi POV which I enjoyed. The book was quite easy to read. This book mentions cheating, murders, trauma, immigration, stalking, etc. At first (the first three chapters) you are introduced to “The Detective” aka Nazario, “The Pastor’s Wife” aka Millie and “The Witness” aka Esperanza. These will eventually connect and the story goes on from there. Nazario is haunted by her father’s tragic death and the fact that they had not been able to catch his killer. As the story goes on they have an idea of who the killer is, that is until the suspect becomes a victim and they have to rethink everything again. There was so much that was unexpected throughout this book but that’s the beauty of it. Esperanza throwing Millie under the bus with the cops was not expected either, homegirl could have minded her business but instead decided to yap her life away without knowing the events that led Millie to wrap her hands around her husband’s “turkey neck” LMAO. Safe to say that Millie might’ve become one of my favorite characters (despite her cheating). The woman was hilarious and she was not to be f*cked with. Final chapters were my favorite part of the book, though twists and turns were expected I did not expect any of it to go down the way it did. Finding the REAL killer was a shocker, finding out the killer fabricated and planted fake memories into someone that was mentally unstable seems cruel for no reason but I guess the killer had their reasons, to frame someone else for their crimes! Never had I thought to think of that specific person to be the culprit and that’s what I loved about this book. This is a great debut for SZ and I am so happy to have gotten the chance to ARC read for her.

I was sold when I saw this was a professor x student read. I was all for it. There were moments that I got second hand embarrassment because of the FMC’s behavior and I get it she’s the student she’s bound to be more immature than the professor but like sometimes she was just too much for me. I did feel like this was a little fast for me but it was still a good read. That ending though, I need the second book because who the heck is Vanessa and what is she doing there?

Shannon Jade is a new author for me and I am not disappointed. I finished this book in one sitting, I could not put it down. Well this book was quite entertaining… Was not a fan of her cheating on her boyfriend with the MMC but I also wasn’t a fan of her boyfriend so I let it go. This is considered a dark romance but like… where’s the dark part? Maybe I’m just way too into really dark romances that this just seems mild to me? It’s a good book and I recommend it to those who love a good college romance. I however got some words for Shana because how dare you do Sasha like that? That poor guy, I cannot wait to read the rest of this series though.

I quite enjoyed this book. I honestly couldn’t put it down and once I got past the 50% mark the book seemed to go by faster and I didn’t want it to end. Although this book does have the surprise pregnancy trope I was surprised that it was not heavily centered around the topic like most books with this trope, yes you’ll see the FMC think about the baby’s well being when making decisions but it’s not something that completely takes over the book and I appreciated that. I loved her attitude at times and other times she just irked me (yes I’m talking about the one scene where she blamed everything on Lorenzo instead of the actual person whose fault the whole thing was, her father). It was a fun little read, the writing was great, but I do wish the epilogue would’ve been years into their life together and not about their wedding, that's just me though.

Miss Penelope has just earned herself a new reader. I enjoyed Coraline and Jagger’s story although I must admit she did get on my nerves just a little bit towards the end but we’re good lol. The banter between these two characters was so good. Jagger’s protectiveness against Coraline’s family (though we didn’t get too much) was great, he did not play about his woman and I am glad he showed that to her brothers. Jagger getting jealous of Hawke was the cutest thing ever because Hawke did not give off “I’m the steal your girlfriend” type of friend. Speaking of Hawke, I lowkey wanted him to join the couple during that one scene (iykyk), I definitely need a book for Hawke, I would eat it up. Pudding was about the cutest little prince and Jagger was such a cat dad it was adorable.

Three things I did not expect in this book:

Two grown men calling Coraline “girlie” 💀 that was about the cringiest thing I read in this book, Naomi being a little weirdo. I knew there was something off about her when she wouldn’t listen to Jagger when he said he needed space but I did not expect her to be as crazy as she turned out to be. Homegirl was in some serious need of professional help and Grant being as unhinged as he was and I don’t mean that in a good way at all. His ending didn’t come fast enough for me though. Despite the annoying little pests this book was overall a pretty entertaining read.

Her Last Kingdom

Wrote a review for

I went into this book blind, didn’t realize this would be a fae book but it certainly did not disappoint. Elaudia has no idea of who she is until her aunt by marriage informs her of who she is, a Bellator, the last of her line. I loved her humor and I loved that she did not take 💩 from anybody. Cadmus was also a great & loyal character (I might have 3 favorite characters, cannot choose)

Fated mates ✅

I absolutely loved Elaudia & Axel’s relationship, the way he protected her. I was not expecting the absolute heartbreak at the end and I can hardly wait to see her revenge take place in the next book!
