This is one of the creepiest and most unsettling books I've read but I couldn't put it down.

When I purchased this book, I expected to laugh. And I laughed embarrassingly hard in public while reading it. What I didn't expect was to cry. This book brought about so many emotions and I loved every minute of that roller coaster.

This book didn’t age well. Sometimes I’m surprised at what used to pass in children’s media as appropriate. One of the characters is Asian and the dialogue and stereotyping they wrote for him was awful. The story would have been fine if it weren’t for that.

This books was amazing. It’s like if Fight Club and Shutter Island meets Dexter. The first few chapters, some writing choices seemed to be weird. Then there was the first big reveal (1/3 of the way into the book) and it made the choices I was questioning make more sense. Great book, and I’m looking forward to reading the next one.
