It took me a while to get into this book. I don't know why. It really is everything I love in a fantasy book. I did finally get into it and wow what a ride it was. Robert Jordan is definitely great at world building. The characters were all very well written; full of doubt in themselves and of their path but they persisted on.
Overall, I really enjoyed this and am eager to get on with the rest of the series now. I have heard that it starts to lag quite a bit midway through but picks back up around book 10 or so.
