Really interesting method of organizing the mind. At times, it leans more into philosophy than psychology. It's onto something though.

A really nice little story. Gets right to the point. The characters leap off the page. The author is excellent at scene crafting.

First book in the series is solid, but meanders a lot.

Full of helpful stat blocks. One or two new monsters than I'm desperate to try. But where'd the velociraptor stat block go?

A fun, shortened version of the original myth. It's sterilized a little to appeal to younger readers.

An interesting take on adapting Lord of the Rings role-playing for 5e. I like that nothing goes above level 10.

Arguably the darkest tale in Tolkien's mythology. This era of middle-earth is grim and dark.

The writing style is great for people with ADD because the perspective changes so quickly.

This books is expertly written. The differing perspectives all work together well. The story takes a while to get going because it has to establish a handful of characters, each in their own chapters. The climax is intense.

Loved the frozen setting. Auril's aesthetic is so cool. The game ran great.

The origin story of my favorite band. Such a cool creative decision to make Dan's side of the story start at one end of the book while Brian's side starts at the other. Then they meet in the middle! I've never seen that done before, and it works so well!

This series gave me everything I wanted from a fleshed out version of the game's story. The final book in the series is the perfect conclusion. I cheered at the end.

A must-read for anyone who needs more middle-earth lore.

Dense, but very interesting to see the application of logic and reason that created a form of government still popular today.
