This book, this damn book, is so great but I hate it at the same time. Morgan is an asshole, but in a good way. Adam is a dorky, sweet, all around great guy. And Amy, Amy is the sweetest girl with the most bubbly personality and does not have a filter on her brain, but she also has a dark secret. I fell in love with Amy's character. She was my favorite throughout the whole book. 5/5 stars for this one
Personally, I enjoyed this book. The only reason I gave it four stars is because Meghan acted like a complete bumbling idiot half the time. Whether it was making deals with fey (which is a big no no unless you absolutely know what you're doing), or almost getting herself killed (multiple times I might add). But her daring heroism to save her brother makes up for it in the end. The Iron King really drew me in to NeverNever and the faer folk, bringing in old faces from A Midsummer Nights Dream, like Oberon, Puck, and Titania (who really seems like a frigid bitch with a stick up her ass in this book. She's more of an ice queen than Queen Mab, IMO). If you're the kind of person who loves stories with faeries, dragons, and other mystical creatures of all sorts, I'd recommend it.
When I started on this series, I had no idea what to expect. Once I started, I couldn't stop. I'm currently trying to find the ninth and final book to finish. When I finished “The Inside Story,” I just kept thinking about the HUGE plot twist, that someone that the Grimm's thought was such a good friend to them, could turn on them and be completely evil. The writing in this book is well put together and just gets your imagination going. As someone who absolutely loves fairy tales, I'm so glad I started reading this series.
