See allHoly mother of god, so this book, especially the ending was a slap in the face of action, betrayal, happiness and sorrow.
The character development? Chef's kiss
The action? Chef's kiss
The plot? Chef's kiss
I feel speechless, this ending shattered my heart.
But its also such a good ending because all i want to do is IMMEDIATELY start reading onyx storm to see if everything solves itself or if its royally screwed
A little slow in the beginning with all of the world building but that is almost always expected but it quickly turned so good,
I listened to the audiobook i got a little sad Teddy wasn't narrating until the last chapter and the bonus chapters.
But man o man this is a good book and i question myself why i didn't start this book earlier.
The tension between Violet and Xaden... that was pure gold.
Now i understand why everyone on booktok talks about Xaden, boy oh boy... That is one hot guy especially getting Xaden's pov in the bonus chapters i absolutely loved all of it.
This book was so cute and also so funny absolutely gobbled it up.
I love a good second chance/childhood friend story.
What made me absolutely fall in love with this book was the fact that the FMC is curvy and owns it even though she maybe feels doubtful or insecure sometimes and i feel like i can relate to that. The FMC was written so beautifully and the fact that she got stronger and more secure in herself was so fantastic to read and gave me hope for myself and the insecurities i have.
An absolute banger of a book combining humour, comedy and some awkwardness in a beautiful mix.
Might have to re-read it like immediately
Wow oh wow this book is so good, i usually read romantasy books so this was a different vibe.
I really enjoyed the way this book invoked so many different feelings throughout the entire book.
All through the book i was trying to figure out if lenora was innocent or actually guilty. This book is so well written and it does such a good job of giving you the truth but its kind of hidden by other things so you do not connect the dots until the very end.
I would recommend this book to many people even if you do not usually read psychological thrillers purely because of the last 80 ish pages that was a crazy ending and suspense filled to the maximum. A true page turner
