Couldn't say I cared much for the characters, which made the final pages not too interesting.

Absolutely loved the concept of the book and the parts with the devil where written well! But then there is the part where the writer tries to make it a semi-romantic book which felt very much unnecessary.

Didn't love it, didn't hate it.

Not everything happening in the last 50 pages

This story made me feel a 800 page book length of feelings in only 30 pages

Before you decide to read this book, look into the trigger warnings!

This book was so intriguing, and I think the author does a very VERY good job of treating these harsh subjects with the weight and respect it needs.

This book left me aching for more, while also having a great ending.

I cannot believe that I, a romance disliker, actually enjoyed a Romantasy.

I loved this little book sm and will definitely get it physical once it's out! It's a quick read so I flew through it.

It's a shame that, because of the way this Arc is formated, some parts of texts where just...deleted tho which made some parts a little confusing

I am now crying
This was honestly far beter then I expected, made me a bunch of small little theories while reading too (none of them where right)

It was a wild ride

Genuinely loved every single fucking character in this book. The badguy doing a little twirl? Got me there honestly. Even if Fox D'Mora is in Death's words: “a right little shit” he has crawled up to sit right next to Alex Easton on my favorite character list.

4.5☆
(Didn't like the sexual stuff very much but other then that–)

I am feeling so many emotions at once, what.
This book was definitely very much a feverdream.

It's going places, idk where, but it's going places.

I have no words, I gobbled this shit up like a little gremlin

Szabo can make such interesting worlds and creatures,,,but the writing and actions they make their characters do is seriously lacking or cringe worthy. Its sad, because I feel like their worlds do have serious potential.

I didn't need to read about Jesse stripping, or exploring their female body. The fact that they can shift their gender is definitely interesting, but Jesse's struggle with their gender/pronouns feels like an afterthought; it's just sprinkled in sometimes. The constant misgendering of Turing is also really upsetting.

It is also odd to me that in the 2 books I've read from Szabo, everyone just....wants the main character? The mc is an instant like for most other characters, and usually this like is sexual.

The last book I read by them (What Big Teeth) wasn't great but some qoutes in it made up for it a little bit, this sadly doesn't have that.

Loved the book
I've been looking for a Jekyll and Hyde type story from the Jekyll and Hyde type character pov and this was perfect

I refuse to believe nor accept that this is a duology
What the fuck

For me, this book did not live up to the hype.
At some point the narration seemed to be taken over by a romantic version of it, which I did not enjoy but I think that's mostly on my own bookish dislikes.

The story was interesting but some things about the writing style and story decisions annoyed me too much.

This book made me forget that dragons are in fact not real and now I'm crying my eyes out

It started getting some good action around the last 100 pages. I enjoyed this book but I didn't find it ‘groundbreaking' like it says on the cover.

Liked it less then I thought I would, but that is most likely because I am not a big romance fan and the main thing about this book is....well the ‘romance', to how they grow toghether

Loved the world this book is placed in and the characters, so I will definitely read the second book!

This book annoyed me in the same way Slasher fan characters in slasher movies annoys me, but I think that's part of its charm

Solid 3☆
Went a little slow for me and I dislike the instant love trope ALOT, but I absolutely love the magic system in this book

Absolutely loved this book.
Niclays made me cry everytime he had a chapter.

Only reason I did not give this 5☆ is because it could've definitely been a duology

I agree

This book, was so incredibly good, I'm positively crying and I need the second book asap.

Shoutout to the lady at Waterstones, because she was definitely so so right about this book being good

It got good towards 70% into the book. I am still so very unsure if I really liked this book or if it just made me curious?

Literally everything would've not happened if the mc would've just listened and I think I'm mostly just annoyed with that?

This book started very slow (imo). The first few chapters caused me to want to dnf multiple times, but it was so worth it to keep reading. The constant obsessing over loving Kay was starting to get quite annoying. Some parts of it where very weird, but the good kind of weird.

Not a recommendation when you're in a slump (or just coming out of it), but a recommendation nonetheless.

Wish I could draw because I'm missing fanart of Janna.
