This book definitely had a lot of ‘empty space' where, technically, not much was happening. But it did a real good job of wanting you to keep reading by either making the conversions interesting (and the characters loveable) or you knowing something is coming, which in this book isn't always good.
Overall, I really loved this book; it made me cringe at times, but it was the good kind of cringe.
Giving this a 3☆ because it does have potential, I just think that the triggerwarnings should've been more obviously there as I would've probably not picked it up then
The fact that she's to marry her cousin, and the weird comments about her dad liking her and her mother to look underaged?
This book is too much of a wild ride for me, and I think the trigger warnings should've been in the Netgalley description as they are very easy to miss once you start reading. ‘this book is not for the faint of heart' is too little of a warning in my opinion
2.5☆
This book started very very promising by making me cry within the first 2 pages,,,tho getting further in the MC just started to annoy me.
The idea and the world of this book is really interesting but it's just too slow paced for me. I might pick it back up eventually but for now it's a DNF
This book was a solid 3 stars
The drawings in it was a pleasant surprise and I breezed through this book, finishing it in 2 days.
However...the author very clearly wanted certain things to happen which makes some scenes feel rushed. Sometimes the characters would go on rants, talking out loud while they should be thinking (or atleast; it would've been beter in text, not dialogue)
This was a fun little book though, would very much recomend it as a quick read.
