A good read about the horrors of WWII and a family who almost beat the odds of survival. A gem.

Sweet sweet book with religious undertones but not overly in your face. A bit predictable and a bit unrealistic but I thoroughly enjoyed all the life lessons this books not so subtly dishes out.

I'm glad I listened to it.

WOW! What a roller-coaster ride of a book! I listened to the audio version at 1.2 speed and it was perfect.

If you have never tried a fantasy book, this would be a great place to start: strong writing, great characters, plot twists galore and vivid imagery.

Go for it! Get this book in your TBR pile immediately.

What a terrific terrific autobiography. I didn't know much about Brandi until this book and I'm so glad that I decided to listen to her story. What is so lovable about this is that she sprinkle some of her songs throughout.

Superb writing!

I listened to this book with high expectations: multiple narrators, compelling premise and relatively short. This book disappointed me. It started strong, but lost its way. I was unable to keep track of the characters who all seemed superficial and petty. I guess they never found the secrets of happiness.

What a book! OMG - The writing, the imagery, the story, the characters - just exquisite. I never wanted this book to end.

I think this short work could have been better as a longer work.

I'm an avid audiobook listener. In my opinion this book would be better read than listened to. The writing is rich, vivid, emotional, powerful, and needs to be savored.

This book with be on in re-read pile to READ so I can get the full experience.

I'm not going to rehash what the story is about; you can do that on your own. I highly recommend you buy this book at your indie book store, find your comfy couch with your beverage of choice, and indulge your senses.

I really enjoyed this book! The pace, the people, the surprises. I can't wait to read the next one.

I really enjoyed listening to this 2020 banned book. It exceeded my expectations.

Too long, too confusing, too repetitive

Well I'm happy to report that I did not see that ending. Sweet story of a group of teenagers who get together and solve and commit a crime.

Underwhelming.

A nicely narrated love story of 2 brothers and their struggles and triumphs. I enjoyed this audio and learned more about the van Goghs.

What an ending! What an ending! Can't wait to start the second in the 3-book series.
