I thoroughly enjoyed this richly-written memoire. I happen to know the extended family and worked at the private high school she attended so I was familiar with lots of this book.

What I loved most was that I learned a lot about food, geography and Italian. I wished I had read this on an e-reader so I could instantly look up many of the words and expressions Gabrielle wrote.

Highly recommend. Just loved it.

Sweet audio book with music to boot! I enjoyed Blade's journey to find himself, confront his demons, and take challenges. If you have a young man who doesn't really like to read, this book may keep his attention. Thanks Audio SYNC for this free book back in 2018.

Super sweet story about a reunion between a dog and a man. A great book to read to your preteen kids as they learn the lessons of determination perseverance and non-judge-mental attitude.

I'm blown away about this book. I couldn't put it down. It's also going on my read again pile. Outstanding.

I really enjoyed this audio book. Although it is 15 hours long, the richness of the prose and the narrator was simply superb. You felt like you were on the farm, getting dusty and hot. This author has a gift and she uses it well. Highly recommend this book.

Outstanding audiobook with an enormously satisfying ending.

Just couldn't get into this audio book. My book club friends mostly liked this, although the ones who are active therapist thought it too technical in places.

For me, I was unable to relate to any of the characters. I also don't understand how the therapist can tolerate an abusive patient, it almost felt like she was just star-struck.

I do see how folks enjoyed the characters journey and improvements.

Loved this audiobook. Learn a lot and I can't wait to put my energy into action.

I just could not get into this book. The storyline was ok, the geographical details were well done, but I felt it was so mundane, that I just barely finished it.

I listened to this and honestly can't remember a thing. It never gripped me.
