THIS WAS SO SOOOOOO FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! I want to Scream and Scream about it!!!!!! Ok first off, the Diversity was SO GOOD!!!!!!! It has a Non-binary werewolf (and they are EVERYTHING I'VE EVER WANTED OUT OF A WEREWOLF), a bi witch who uses hearing aids, Lesbian grandmas, And a fat friend who's a scientist!!!!!! I fell in LOVE with these characters SO FAST!!!!!!! And the Writing itself is So much Fun!!!!!! It's suuuuper fast paced too, I couldn't put it down until I had read it all in one sitting!!!!!! HIGHLY recommend this if you like graphic novels and fantasy books!!!!!!!!
This was a FANTASTIC Work of historical fiction!!!!!! I absolutely ADORED all the main characters, Especially “Beth”!!!!! While I did see quite a few things coming, several things were Very unexpected!!! Overall I thought was writing was Very well done, especially how the growing romance was written!!!!!! The YEARNING!!!!! That's what really makes a Good romance, especially in Historical fiction!!!!!!
This was an Extraordinary disappointment. I had Very high hopes for this one because the synopsis sounded Delightful and fun. Instead, this was a complete disaster. For one, the writing style is much like what you would expect a middle schooler to write like, not an Adult Woman with a husband.
Example: “If there's something to be learned from Big Jim's horror films, it's that you should never insert yourself into a precarious situation, especially if you're a scantily clad blonde with breast implants or a MoFo with black skin.”
Not only is this childish, but that last part was Completely unnecessary and, quite frankly, offensive. I could find more but I don't feel like wasting my time on it.
Another thing was that the character, S.T. (which, by the way, stood for “Shit Turd”, because this wasn't obnoxious enough), was a horrible representation for crows. All he was concerned with for the majority of the book was humans, to the point where, in some parts, he Actively attacked other crows instead of working with them. Now, I will say, in the end he was able to put aside his differences to work with one murder of crows, but for the majority of the book all he cared about were humans, or animals who had lived with humans.
This does get 2 stars instead of 1 because the plot was pretty original, and S.T. did grow up a little in the end, but for the majority of the book, I was incredibly annoyed both by the writing and by S.T.'s actions. I had been so looking forward to this too -_-
This was SUCH a FANTASTIC series!!!!!! I LOVED (most of) The characters and their arcs!!!!! I'm also Very glad it ended the way it did, though the final part felt a bit rushed to me. I feel like it would have been more satisfying if they had talked about the actual trial a Little bit more. I'm also Very upset about my Favorite character being LEFT BEHIND :'((((((( My final issue with this (and this is honestly an issue with the who series) is that I did Not like any of the Romantic pairings. They all felt a little flat to me. I liked the characters individually!!!!! I just don't think the Romance was necessary. That being said, I ADORED the world building and writing style!!!!!! I'm definitely going to be thinking about this series for a While!!!
HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was So much better than the first book!!!!! I really REALLY loved all of our main characters, Especially Nik!!!!! I thought they worked a lot better together than the first two!!! I will admit, though, I personally think Hanna and Kady should be together, not Nik and Hanna. They do work together well!!! It's just that Hanna and Kady get along like a Wildfire, and I will admit I think Nik deserves someone who is kinder to him than Hanna. Also Kady still deserves better than Ezra. Anyways, that being said, I am IN LOVE with this universe!!!!!! I'm SO EXCITED for the next one!!!!!!
I really Really liked this!!! The overall plot was FANTASTIC!!!! And while definitely different, the writing style was Really fun once I got used to it!!! I also Really LOVED Kady and (most) of her character arc. The reason it's 4 stars instead of 5, however, is Ezra. I thought he was annoying, and quite honestly? Unnecessary to the story. I would have liked this a Lot better if he wasn't in it at all. Especially his “romance” (if I can even Call it that) with Kady. It felt so stale and forced, it was aggravating to have to read through those parts as well as the rest of the book. Their “romance” was completely unnecessary, and just shows how many authors love to put romance as a subplot device, even when it detracts from the actual story. Besides that however, I Loved it!!! This is a Very good sci-fi plot, and I LOVED several of the side characters!!!
HOLY SHIT!!!!!!! That was a FANTASTIC sequel to Bird Box!!!!!!! I will admit that for the Majority of the book, I really hated Malorie as a character, her choices and the way she treated her kids Pissed me off. However, she did Slightly (only slightly) redeem herself by the end!!! I absolutely ADORED Olympia though, and Loved hearing more about her!!!!! Overall I really REALLY liked this, this is still one of the best horror plots I've ever read!!!!!!
OH MY GOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!! That was absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!! First off, the Diversity in this was PERFECTION!!!!!!! I really Really LOVED how all the characters were written!!!! I care these characters SO MUCH!!!!! And the romantic TENSION!!!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I really Really LOVED this SO MUCH!!!!!!
This was SO ADORABLE!!!!!!! I really felt for Blob Ghost being stuck in the mall, and it was Wonderful to see how much Beetle truly cares for her friends!!!!! Overall I really REALLY liked the characters, and this has Such a good example of how good gentle kids can become Very mean because of the adults who are caring for them!!!! Definitely recommend if you want something fast and cute!!!!! Also, this is a Really great book for young kids too!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT WAS SO CUTE AND SWEET!!!!!!!! This has the PERFECT amount of fluff vs. angst in it!!!!!!! I will say there are Some very heavy theme/topics such as kidnapping and actual torture, but it also has Plenty of light-hearted scenes to make you Feel good!!!!!! It's a Perfect fairy-tale kind of story!!!!!!! The writing was Beautiful and I really REALLY liked how the relationships between characters were written in particular!!!!! This is SUCH a good pick-me-up kinda book, one that just Puts you in a really good mood!!!!!! And the ENDING!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH That was SO FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!

And the BANTER!!!!! I so SO dearly loved this!!!!! And that PLOT TWIST!!!!! AAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH THAT HURT MY HEART!!!!!!! Highly HIGHLY recommend if you are looking for a Well written diverse fantasy with Wonderful trans rep!!!!!! This is DEFINITELY an Absolute FAV!!!!!!!
This was SO FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! This had such BEAUTIFULLY written representation!!!!!! And a positive polyamorous relationship, which is Really rare to see!!!!! This had better diversity than Half of the other books I've read, and this didn't have a Single human in it!!!!!! Cinrak really is a Lovable character, and I would deeply DEEPLY love to hear more stories about her and her family!!!!!!! HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a diverse High-fantasy story!!!!!!
OUCHIE MY FEELINGS!!!!!! This is DEFINITELY a Ruta Sepetys novel because she always teaches me about some part of history that isn't talked about, in a way that makes me cry!!!!! I had never heard of the baby trafficking done by Francisco Franco before this book, and now I keep looking up more and more about it!!! This is such a Horrible topic, and yet Ruta discusses it with such Grace and Respect!!! This is why she is one of my All time FAV authors!!! While obviously the exact events of this book are not real, many similar stories Did happen, and it's good that there's some sort of light being shone on them now!!! I really REALLY loved this, and I definitely HIGHLY recommend to anyone who likes historical fiction!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! This was SO CUTE!!!!!! and Absolutely sweet!!!!!!! I haven't read many graphic novels, so I thought I would give this a shot, and I'm SO GLAD I did!!!!!! I Absolutely ADORED the main characters, and Deeply loved the plot!!!!!! I just couldn't put it down!!!!!! It was just such a pick-me-up kind of story, and I definitely want to read more by this Author!!!!!! HIGHLY recommend if you like Graphic novels and contemporary fantasy stories!!!!!!!
Since this is an anthology, I'll also be rating the individual stories!!! As a whole I really, Really liked this!!!!! And I definitely plan on reading some more from certain authors in this!!!

No joke, this is the first book in a While to make me actually cry!!!!! Also, the writing was just GORGEOUS!!!!!!! I really Really wish there had been more stories like this out when I was a child, because I really think it would have helped me a Lot!!!!! I'm so SO Glad I read this!!!!!!! The story itself was AMAZING!!!!!!! Highly HIGHLY recommend if anyone is looking for a good diverse fantasy!!!!! Especially the 2020 republished version, because the afterward by Minerva is also something I think is Super important!!!!!!!!
WOW!!!!!!! That was FANTASTIC!!!!! Hercules was always one of my Fav movies as a kid, to the point where I think I accidentally killed our VHS copy of it XD So seeing Meg get so So much more of a backstory and more development was AMAZING!!!!!! I LOVED how she grew and changed as a person!!! I also REALLY Loved the ending!!!!!!!
This was REALLY good!!! I especially LOVED the lore and the world building!!!!! The descriptions of the magicks was Fascinating!!! I also really REALLY liked how Nora Roberts writes characters!!! I grew so SO attached to this cast of characters (most of them, anyways) and I can't WAIT to hear more about them!!! Especially after that ending!!! I'll definitely be starting the second one ASAP!!!!!
Honestly? That was pretty bad. The writing style was jumpy and horrible. It took 111 pages for the big Plot thing to be openly acknowledged, and then it didn't even go through. It really felt flat, which is a shame because it had Really good story potential!!! The writing was just awful. It's even a subject that needs to be talked about a Lot more, but this book just does Not do it justice. It's only getting a second star Because it had good story potential, and because the topic is an important one.

This gave me SO MANY FEELINGS!!!!!!! I just want to scream and scream and scream!!!!!! This was a BEAUTIFUL way to end the King of Scars Duology!!!!! On the one hand, I'm so So sad it's over, on the other hand, that was FANTASTIC!!!!! Leigh Bardugo's writing is so So beautiful, and I really can't praise this enough!!!!! I can only hope she writes the next Six of Crows book here soon!!!!!!
