Slow build up to a brutal end

Seriously? Finish your book. I cannot in good faith give a book that ends the way this one did more than 2 stars. I felt like I wasted my time reading this.

4.5/5 - a delightfully ridiculous and unrealistic story that was still fun to read.

3.76, my least favorite Emily Henry. The issue between the couple seemed so unnaturally dramatic.

The format isn't for everyone but I will think about this book for a long time to come. It's a powerful narrative on the impact of rape.

This book is absolutely horrifying in terms of its graphic depictions of severe child abuse. While it's well written and makes its point, I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending it to anyone.

I will read literally anything this man writes. He's yet to disappoint me.

4.5, beautifully written but I'm not entirely sure what I just read. With that said, the themes of women struggling with their bodies and their images as seen through the eyes of others comes through clearly. I'm glad I read it.

4.5, I enjoyed this immensely, but it's odd and I wouldn't recommend it to everyone.

4.5 rounded up. This book was so much fun to read.

Definitely not a fast paced thriller, this is literary fiction with some mystery elements mixed in. Beautiful writing.

DNF and skipped to the end to see who did it. I could not handle the flighty main character.

3.5, some really good scares for 60% of the book and then it went too traditional possession story for me. Regardless, I enjoyed it.

So much fun. I thought I had it figured out immediately and I was not even close. Very entertaining.

4.5, very violent but I love Karin Slaughter's writing.
