6.5/10 really

It was cool seeing core squad back again but I would like to say I was really upset they felt jane and moffy crossed a line....it doesn't make any sense projecting your past unto your kids like that

Yes they are meant to learn from your mistakes , it doesn't mean they will make the exact same mistakes ....anyway I'm happy Moffy got his wish in the end

I can't exactly put into words how incredible this was

Now this book has its strength and weaknesses ....I felt that it dragged a bit in the middle but the ending males up for it 100%

The last two chapters were spectacular ....I have to say this was the perfect ending to an amazing, excellent , well thought out trilogy ....Sanderson greatly improves on some of his character work here ( Sazed and Spook) .....I'm left feeling sad, angry and highly satisfied which is extremely odd

I can't wait to get started on the stormlight archive

I don't know how raven Kennedy can top this in book 4, this was a lot better than the second one

The build up to the final 2 chapters was immense, I was on the edge of my seat, Auren's strength, the wrath coming to her defence at the end, Slade COMING FUCKING THROUGH .....this was an extremely entertaining read

I cannot wait for the final book...this was amazing ....I RECOMMEND

“You're King Ravinger,” I breathe in hurt accusation, because it's the only thought clanging through my bones and shrieking in my skull.
Rip's mouth slowly pulls into a grin, and he speaks with the dark, sensual stroke of a villainous purr that matches the glint in his eye. “Yes, Goldfinch, I am. But you can call me Slade.”

AKSBWOSNAOHAUQJABIHB.....OMG....OMFG....WHAT THE FUCK????....I cannot wait for book three... this is incredible

Pretty good Midas retelling ....but I'm more interested in this Commander Rip

I can say this breaks into my top 5 for the year

This was an incredible story...the plot was captivating from the start, the characters were indulging especially Kvothe

I usually don't enjoy fantasy from the author's POV but I'm shocked to have been excited by this one ....the whole learning and growing process throughout kvothe's life was an emotional rollercoster

His constant fued with the bully Ambrose really shook me the most even more than the murder of his parents which I might say would be the most traumatic event in this book ...the constant taunting and eventual expulsion really hurt .....my boy deserved to complete his education without all these distractions

In summary this was exceptional literature, I enjoyed this a lot, the prose was really good ....I hope to recommend this to someone soon ....I look forward to picking up the second book

MZ continues to impress

Fuck this rating this a 12/10 btw

Where do I even begin, words fail me now, truly ....K&B created something special with this epilogue, I laughed, I cried , I smiled till my jaw hurt like a modafucker

It perfectly tied up the series, Loren ,Connor, Daisy, LILY, ryke , Rose ....I'm so fucking proud of them especially Lilly Hale....it's been one hell of a ride and I cannot wait to begin the next series

ENSEMBLE

God I love brenna

Pretty good, I'm looking forward to brenna and jake's story

“Your memory will fade to shadow and I shall never speak your name again, not even when I tell my lovers the story of how we two met. There will only be sweetness and kindheartedness, and a hundred years of bliss”

This was my first dracula inspired novel and I must say I wasn't disappointed ....I'm always a fan of short stories if and only if the story is captivating enough unless it's a sheer waste of my time .

Constanta tells a brilliant tale of dracula and their found family from the moment of her transformation to his death...the prose is compelling and the pacing of the book is very satisfying

I especially was taken with magdalene's character and her mind of knowing the ways of the court or in modern times the government....the scenes including passion were interesting enough too ....I really enjoyed this and I would definitely be recommending this as many times as I can ...

“I am Lin Sukai and I will remake this Empire.”

YESSSSSSS BABY GIRL , ugh it felt good reading an SFF that brought something different to the table , the idea behind bone shard system of magic is exquisite , I look forward to how much she expands on this in the bone shard emperor

Moving on, of the main MCs Lin and Jovis had my attention the most because they're stories were more captivating than the rest, no surprises there

The pacing was really good, the sapphic couple were pretty interesting but I would like to see more of their POV in the second book please, the writing is good as well, loved the way this ended, though I must say Sand's POV is still a bit confusing cos I don't know how they fit into all this but from what I gathered is seems they know about bone shard magic as well

The animal companions/ connection is something I really enjoyed its been a while since a read a fantasy with this included it's nice to see this added again ....in summary this is not a generic story....I totally recommend this if you're looking for something different and is also an easy read

The kind of anxiety the last 200 pages put me through

MZ continues to deliver where I'm concerned....I thoroughly enjoyed this

I honestly feel this might be the best urban fantasy I've ever read (I haven't read many but I know in my bones it would be Hadd to find something grander than this)

The system of magic is very intriguing , I really enjoyed knowing about the rules of jade application

The urban setting was really good and even in one book I think the distinction between the various cities and territories quickly stuck (BIG BONUS POINT FOR THAT)

Lan, Shae and Hilo are fantastic MCs , the cast of supporting characters are very interesting as well, the prose is so easy to read I was super happy about that

This was better than the wall of winnipeg and me by a mile

The romance, the writing , THE PACING, ugh ...this was beautiful

8.5/10

Kennedy Ryan doesn't know how to write a bad book , she can never miss

I loved how this perfectly portrayed the struggles black creatives face in the industry without over doing it or making the writing cringeworthy like some of your favs do. I enjoyed the dynamic between neevah and her family a lot ....even through the pain of the past still lingers there's always room for forgiveness ( forgive me but I'm a sucker for things like this

This was an incredibly slow follow up to mistborn and I would admit that until the last 100 pages or less I considered rating it 3 stars ....but that ending ??? Its worthy of my final rating

I can tell this is building up to be spectacular finale and up until now I can't really say what vin and the rest of the band are fighting and that keeps things pretty exciting ....with [redacted] being an allowancer now this could keep things pretty interesting

I can't wait to get started

A beautiful end to a compelling mafia story, I didn't expect to enjoy this series this much but it was FUN

Mafia stories should be this well written and filled with suspense and as always a hint of romance and a chance for redemption/growth

Aiden and Gemma's story is one of passion, loyalty and faith in a better life /world ...I enjoyed this A LOT ...looking forward to xavier's story hopefully S. Massery keeps the original cast in the loop

This one was REALLY good, I enjoyed the rivalry more in this compared to the first book

I know Jameson is hiding something I just hope it isn't what I think it is

Pretty good plot, the ending wasn't all that anyway ...looking forward to aiden and gemma's story

Sanderson has my undivided attention

I'm officially hooked, not many first books in a trilogy especially in fantasy genre get me excited this quickly, I definitely look forward to well of ascension

His universe/ world building is insane I absolutely love it,the writers voice is good as well, the pacing is great , the dialogue is quite OK but I expect that to improve, description and system of magic is amazing

I also enjoyed his understanding of leadership in comparison to actual world views and his sense of being on with community ...stuff like that ...it felt quite realistic for a work of fiction ...I totally recommend this if you haven't read any sanderson books

I don't even know where to begin ....it feels like I'm saying goodbye to my own kids (it's weird I know ) but that's how it is when you read a book that gives the found family troupe so much depth and that is one thing the calloway sisters story has produced thus far

Lily: my angel, my resilient star I cannot begin to tell you how much I'm proud of her and all she has achieved since her addiction was made known to the public ...she's so strong and I'm happy for her ..5 kids ..thats amazing ...truly

Loren : my Knight , words cannot express how incredibly proud I am of his battle to sobriety ...13 years going strong ...wow

Ryke : my fucking idiot I'm glad he finally slowed down enough to see whats in front of him and not live a selfish life

ROSE : love of my life , my enduring queen, my rock, words cannot express how proud I am of her, learning to share responsibilities and being the rock for her younger siblings ...I love you forever

Connor : my narcissistic King, I'm glad he understood what love meant and his willingness to aid daisy and lily throughout their teens even now

Daisy : my daring starlight , never fade my love

Willow, garrison, poppy, Sam, SULLY ....thank you for impacting their lives too

The ending was worth it but 50% of this book had me sleeping

With better pacing it would've been a 4 star read
