This was my first book from Diane Chamberlain and given the mixed reviews I'll be looking out for others, as I really enjoyed this so if apparently she can do better I'll be trying it!

This follows two timelines- ones in the 60s and one in 2010. I was invested in both from the start and thought they both ramped up when the first connection was made early on.

I really loved the easy, comfortable writing style and I'll definitely be looking for more from this author.

This was such a disappointment after the previous books in the series.

As others have said, Margaret is such an unlikeable main point of view that it's hard to root for her. That said, the book can't really be blamed for that, however I did find issue with the writing in this one.

I've read many books by Gregory (as I've read most of the books out of chronological order) so I'm used to the way she writes and tells her stories, but in this one I found the time jumps jarring and disconnected, and the general plot very cold and detached.

I really do enjoy this series but this one will not be one I return to.

I was absolutely not expecting the emotional roller coaster of this book!!

So much was fun and full of banter then the heavy parts really hit and I cried so much! 😭

I switched to audio half way through this and the 2 narrators (Corvin King and Erin Mallon) were amazing!! Absolute perfection 💕
