Weird reading this after I've seen Vampire Diaries a million times. I still picture the characters in the book as they were in the show, but it is very good. I like how Elena is actually just Caroline lol

This fucked me up, how can you go from hating to liking to being scared to being torn apart. UGH and this is only the first book. I'm doomed.

I had no idea what to expect with this. I'm conflicted in so many way, but excited to see how it all unfolds.

Even though it started out really good, the ending was rushed and I was skipping most of the spicy scenes lol. It was good for what it was though.

I know Booktok will tear this up for how it was written. Saying its like “Wattpad in the worst way” but personally. I LOVED it lol I giggled at all the inner monologue. Making it fun and relatable but also very fantasy. I had a good time, was looking to getting the second book to only realize it wont be out till the end of 2025.

Alhough I'm happy it has a happy ending, I HATE how fast the ending was. We worked through all those books of war to only have a sliver of happiness and it hurts.
