Wow... this book was absolutely depressing. Like one good thing would happen and then a million bad things would follow.
I was literally sobbing when Ariel was dying.. and they said there was nothing to be done.. and Naga wanted to take her to draw her last breath somewhere beautiful holy shit that was heartbreaking.
I hope we get more Wynter in the next book, cause I absolutely love her. Yvan is awesome. Diana & Rafe are awesome. I love Trystan & Andras & Fern & Gareth & Jarrod & everyone else who's joined the resistance with Elloren.
& also.. what was revealed at the end.. can I just say.. FINALLY! Now we gonna kick some ass!

Wow, I really loved this.
Veronyka was definitely my favorite point of view. I really hope we get some romance in book two because I have some ships in mind right now.
Ugh the reveal at the end... wtf. I don't know if I should be on her side. Should I be rooting for you know who (if you've read this of course)? I mean she was pretty much a fucking bitch all the way before the reveal, but idk.. maybe there's a good reason? She does seem to care for Veronyka, in her own way.
Anywho, really excited for book two.
This completed the Potions (read a sequel) part of the OWLs Readathon.
Wow, I really loved getting back into this world. Laia is so strong is so many ways (but not like every other heroine lately). She is unique and interesting. I loved getting to know her some in this book.
Helene pissed me off... a lot. I mean, how fucking blind do you have to be to think that what her people are doing is right? That they are the good guys? Really... She deserves to die for her stupidity alone.
I am really happy to see that I was surprised by a lot of what was revealed in this book. (The Commandant's storyline was probably the most obvious to me).
Anyways, super excited to get to the third book eventually.

Well, I really only liked the cultural aspects of this novella. The plot was pretty boring. The characters were bland. The “bad” guys basically murdered a shit ton of young innocent people & completely got away with it. Which, honestly pissed me off.
I read this in preparation for the Booktube SFF awards.
I had stopped reading this book in February because I had other books to read and things to do, that my Kindle needed to be put aside.
Finally I was able to finish this book, & in turn this series. This series was such a well thought out one. I really ended up loving all the characters, which was great because I remember disliking some in the beginning.
In conclusion, I really loved the ending to this series. Everything wrapped up beautifully.

Ragtooth seriously was my favorite character in this book & he isn't really a character. Kamzin's sister Lusha was extremely frustrating and pissed me off more times than I can count. She treated Kamzin like a child and didn't give her respect or understanding.
Mara was just annoying and I still want him to die, or at the very least no longer be in the story. Aimo's storyline pissed me off, because I really liked her. Azar-at ... well, I don't really know how I feel about him. River reminded me a lot of the Darkling (from the Grisha verse) in some ways. Don't really know how I feel about him either.
I really enjoyed Kamzin, our main character. I liked reading from her perspective. Tem was pretty cool, though there's a lot of questions I still have about him.
Overall, the story was pretty good.

I knocked off half a star because I knew who Meira truly was as soon as I started reading the book.
Other than that I really enjoyed this story. The characters were interesting enough, though some pissed me off. Meira was a good enough protagonist.
I already know what team I am on (shipping wise, that is) Theron. I'm on Team Theron
I hope to see more of Nessa in the next book.
This book was really great. I loved that it was so different from other books I've read, definitely a stand-out.
Amani was a great main character. She was strong and smart, honest and caring. I really loved her love interest as well, I definitely shipped them so hard.
There are also many characters I despised in this novel and hope they die, really painful deaths would be amazing.
The overall story was pretty interesting, kept me engaged.
There are some things I definitely want more of in the next novel though. Like, more of Furat please!
I gotta say that Ruby & Arcus are definitely one of my all time favorite ships. I will go down with this ship.
Anywho, this was an amazing sequel. I loved the plot, it kept me engaged and it kept me guessing. I loved getting to see Sudesia with Ruby.
One of the things I really love about this series is that I am completely attached to Ruby, I feel for her. & everything we find out about Ruby in this book, I felt bad and excited for her.
I loved getting to know the new characters we got to meet. I was unsure about how I felt for Kai through most of this book, but he really grew on me by the end of it. The Queen was a downright bitch half the time, but at least she had an excuse for it.
The reunion scene was so emotional for me, because I didn't know if my ship was going to die.
A lot of things got cleared up in this book as well. Like who Ruby really is. Who really is the Child of Light. Who really is the Child of Darkness. Who really loves who... (lol). I can't wait to start Nightblood!
Okay, this was definitely not the best book I've read, but it wasn't horrible.
It was a pretty generic fantasy story. Female main character who had gone through horrible shit. Grows up and becomes the center of attention without ever knowing why. Gets herself tangled in a love triangle, one that pissed me off. Goes on an adventure that involves lots of training and of course the curse of not knowing who to choose. & la ti da.
My absolute favorite character in this novel died right in the beginning (and yes I am still pissed off about that) and that was complete bullshit. The one Alex ended up choosing pissed me off, I definitely believe that the other love interest was better. But whatever...
The ending was okay, if not frustrating. I just want a certain someone to get over a certain someone because that certain someone obviously doesn't deserve you. I want Rylan to be fucking happy okay!
Wow, this book was quite different from the movie.
I put off reading this book (and well this whole series) because I thought that seeing the movie(s) before hand would make reading this pointless AND I thought I wouldn't like these books because I thought they were too young for me. LMAO, I was so wrong.
Neville Longbottom stole the whole book for me. He was so sweet and so kind. I was so happy to see a lot more scenes with him in this book than there were in the movie.
There were a lot more details in this book that were left out in the movie. I didn't know Grindelwald was mentioned multiple times in this book! Everything was amazing. It was fast paced and engaging. The characters & therefore character development were on point. The whole book gave me a warm and cozy feeling throughout it.
I can't wait to start Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets.
Not as Great as the First 2
Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed the first two in this series. The beginning of this book was kind of boring to be honest.
But, roughly 50% in and I was hooked again. I absolutely adore the Reven scenes! He is definitely my favorite.
The steamy scenes in this book were hot as hell lol! Especially that one scene, you know what I mean if you read this book.
That ending had me shook lmao. I am so excited for the next book aka Reven's book!

The characters were amazing, I especially love Echo (the main character). I really love Ivy & Dorian & Jasper & Rowan & Ala & even Cauis. I honestly still don't know who I ship Echo with.
I loved where the plot/story went in this book. I definitely was intrigued. This world is so fascinating.
I just really want all my babies to have a happily ever after, is that just too much to ask?
Anyways, I wholly recommend this trilogy!

I still really hate the Darkling... maybe I'll never understand everyone's ‘infatuation' with him. I just think he is cruel, not to mention extremely problematic. Though his last conversation with Alina about Mal was honestly the best, because it was completely true. Which is why I have a hard time loving Mal now.
I really REALLY loved Tamar & Tolya, they definitely ‘stole the show'. & Nikolai is definitely growing on me. Don't know how I feel about the Apparat..
I enjoyed the concept. I enjoyed the cast of characters (for the most part). But, the romance left a lot to be desired. It was literally the only that bothered me about this book. I don't know why.. I'm usually someone who doesn't care who so-in-so ends up with in the end, but this unfortunately wasn't understandable to me at all.
Here's my spoiler-y & more in-depth reason for why I am so bothered/frustrated:
One second she loves friggin Roan & she is so clearly infatuated with him & she's always trying to protect him.. & the one Fucking second his life is really in danger, she doesn't do anything at all to try and save him. When he freakin dies she didn't even shed a single tear. Oh my lord. It really bothers me. & his brother who's been cruel to her for her entire life (who apparently was doing it to protect her (which is a bullshit excuse BTW)) is now the love interest... just because he said he was cruel to be kind????!!!! WTF!At this point, Liam & Jules can go choke & Ina & Hinton & Lora & Bee can freaking take over cause I love them.
Holy s***! I freaking loved this book! The characters were amazing. The plot was enchanting. I didn't want to ever put this book down. Each chapter made me hungry for more. This book was like a spell that captured me and sucked me in, and I didn't ever want to leave.
Asha, oh how I absolutely adored her. I felt for her. She was so fierce and strong but soft and scared. Ohh and her love interest was just so precious! The dragons were blood fantastic.
I loved this book. I highly recommend it.
