I devoured this one in a day. It's got a solid mystery with great pacing and some genuinely thrilling moments. I'd read Razorblade Tears earlier this year and liked it a lot, but that book leaned way more into action. This one strikes a better balance between the mystery and thriller elements, which I appreciated. It has a compelling main character and a fantastic ending. Definitely recommend it if you're into fast paced mystery/thrillers or have liked other S.A. Cosby books.

I enjoyed this one, though it's not quite as strong as All the Sinners Bleed for me. It's extremely dark throughout, which sets a heavy tone from the start. There were some elements that reminded me of The Wire, which I liked. I'd put it about on par with Razorblade Tears and if you enjoyed S.A. Cosby's other books, you'll enjoy this one as well. just be warned that it is very dark.
