I struggled with rating this it's probably at least 4.5 stars. I read it in one day and I can't tell you why I loved it. The characters are so emotional and dysfunctional and it didn't end how I thought it would but maybe that's why I like it. Its a great contemporary romance but be warned if you can't handle explicit scenes this may not be for you.
I have mixed feelings about this. I like it and I'm probably going to finish the series at some point. The beginning was rough for me I just didn't like the way it started. We're kinda just thrown into the story without any background. The ending not my favorite either but all the stuff in between I liked. Calla and Ren are in my least favorite characters group. I loved everyone else in the pack and Shay much better. Shays love of reading is obviously my favorite thing about him. I'm actually kind of confused on what's true and what's not with the story to many lies and secrets. But overall it was good and it was a very fast read.
First no tears were shed which is a miracle for me because I cry a lot. But I really really liked this. The ending is amazing and I'm so happy everyone got what they deserved. Trey is a big piece of manure and so is his mom but Owen oh Owen. I think he just made it up the fictional boyfriend list. I have kids and being in her position would have killed me. I couldn't imagine going through that. This book made me sad, happy, and angry and then happy all over again.
I enjoyed this book. There were parts that were a little drab but for the most part I liked it. I started to feel like everyone she knew was going to have powers. I totally like Mr. Kent and Mr. Braddock and having to choose between the two would be rather hard. I wanted more from the ending but I do like where it ended. I love that it is described as Jane Austen meets X-Men, that is the best way to describe it.
Why is ACOL so far away.?! How the heck did that just happen. ?? There was so much unexpected madness it's perfect. I love the new characters and hate but hate because they're evil scumbags not because they're badly written. There seems to be a rule that Antari like to get into the biggest amount trouble they can happen across.
I debated about giving this 4 or 5 stars but it has to be 5. I read this in one day and it's been a long time since I've finished a book that quickly that I actually enjoyed. It is a very magical unique book. The pictures add the perfect touch to the book and really complete it. I did find the little budding romance a little strange but it wasn't horrible. The characters have very unique abilities and although they're a bunch of really old teenagers I still enjoyed it. I can't wait to start book 2.
