80% of this book is useless filler. I found myself speeding through entire chapters and missing nothing. However some parts were interesting and kept me on the edge of my seat. But those moments were so far apart.

That was the perfect holiday book. I had such a great time with it.

That was painful. I found very few things that I enjoyed about it.

An acceptable and predictable holiday romance.

Probably my least favorite of the series. I just had a hard time with this one.

So slow for most of the book but the last 15% sold me.

It's so fun to see a dramatized version of the book I loved as a kid. Definitely the best way to read it.

I got about 30% of the way through and realized that I can't bring myself to remember who each side character is. I also just felt like the story kept getting very convoluted and unnecessary. I ended up skimming parts of it and reading a full spoiler review just to see how it ended. I'm definitely done with this series.

Say what you want, but that was a good time.

So original and enjoyable. The love story was perfectly done and I also really enjoyed the dragons and underwater city. The magic of being able to paint the future was so interesting and the ending really got me.

This was a lot happening all at once and also nothing at the same time.

I fell asleep while listening and I didn't even go back and listen to the part I missed because it made no difference. That says everything right there.

It's a really interesting magic system that kept me interested but the stakes felt low even with all the build up.

Very long with what felt like very little happening. The twist ending did get me so I couldn't say it was completely terrible.

Very heavy handed in some places but just did enjoy the storytelling. I will also say that it's predictable at times.

This book had no reason to be that long and dull.

I won't lie, I was getting pretty bored through the middle half but it definitely got better towards the end. And for once, I did not see that twist coming.

I devoured this book and then immediately ordered the second. I wasn't prepared for how much I loved this book.

The last 20% was really where it got good. which means 80% of it was rough.

I'm torn. The premise was interesting and I enjoyed the trials, the storytelling and dialog fell flat.

I devoured this.

Fast paced, magical, and slow burn. It was a great read but the length got to me. I definitely feel like some of it was redundant and could have been cut.

This was such a fun read. It had a lot of interesting elements and I think the way that it was told through mostly interviews and scripts made it stand out. The characters were a bit too on the nose for the olympians that they are connected to, but I still enjoyed reading it.
