Awesomely geeky book! I had a great time reading this and I recommend it to anyone who grew up during the 80's. Most of my childhood favourite movies were mentioned, and I had to watch Wargames and Ladyhawke again recently. Don't wait. Read this book. :)

Second Nexus book finished! Will there be a third? I do enjoy these techno-thrillers, but the writing is a bit stale. That said, I'll continue to read these! Ramez can only get better. :)

Well! That took me forever and a half. I just got into this audiobook again a few days ago and it really is a great book! I'll definitely either read or listen to the next book in the series. :)

Steel World is a good book. It's not an amazing book, but it is good. It kept me entertained, and that's what a book is supposed to do. There were plenty of spelling mistakes and some really odd descriptions. When the author explained that soldiers were crawling into a position, they “slithered”, which made me cringe a bit. Anyway! I'm hoping for some better character development as McGill was a bit flat. Actually, he's a bit unintelligent at times, and not in an endearing way. If comparing with Scalzi's Old Man's War, Steel World has a long way to go.
That said, I will continue reading these books. I am curious where McGill is heading next.

An absolutely awesome book! A huge chunk of my Christmas holiday was dedicated to reading this book. And even though I wasn't a fan of the part about the Felurian, everything else was excellent. Now I'm joining hordes of people waiting patiently for the next book..... :)

I don't really have much to say about this book. Except that it's awesome. I wonder if the author got some inspiration from a race called Trill from the Star Trek universe. A book full of action, a brilliant explanation of the world's history and humor. My only regret is that I'm going to have to wait for the next Tao book.I was more than a little shell shocked when I reached the end of this book! And there better be many more books in the future... :)

Science fictiion, action and humor. I thought this book was pretty awesome. Off to read the next one now!

Another brilliant Iron Druid book. Full of action and some interesting twists. I am really looking forward to the next book, as this one ended a little suddenly.

I still get an eerie feeling when reading about unwinding. Another good book in the series. It was nice to have read UnStrung (Unwind #1.5) before reading this. It took me a while to get through this book, but I'll still pick up future books in this series. :)

Meh. It was interesting to read what Lev was up to while Unwind went on, but it felt somewhat incomplete to me.

Another enteraining Libriomancer book. I'll keep following this series. :)

Holy Calamity, this was a good book! Supervillains vs. ordinary folks. It was epic. Pure and simple. Brandon Sanderson is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors.

Fantastic book, in my opinion. The concept of manipulation of metal using Allomancy Feruchemistry is pretty brilliant. Great character development and world building. I look forward to continuing the series!

This book failed to pull me in, but the it was entertaining enough. I don't know if it was the author's writing style, world building or character development (I did like Fred, though!) that left me disenchanted. Nor do I think I'm really in the target audience.

I found myself not caring what happened to any of the characters. I'm giving up on this one half way through.

Gave up on this one. I really didn't like the characters very much.

Quoting Sara King;

"Hard science fiction, a.k.a. technobabble, is the dry stuff that reminds you of college physics textbooks explaining cool new ideas in a very logical way. I mean, it's neat, but you can forget the main character's name in a couple days."

And that's pretty much how I found this book. Dry. And really long-winded with forgettable characters. I really didn't care whether or not any of the characters in Pandora's Star made it or not. So, unfortunately, I quit this book.

The characters were flat, uninteresting and I didn't really care whether they made it or not...
