Maybe more like 4.5, but a close second to A Week to be Wicked as my favorite in this series. I love the society/London aspects of it and Pauline was a great heroine.

Super quick and fluffy read. Love this series so much that I really liked this one, but not sure how well it'd stand on its own. Wanted a bit more backstory, but still worth it.

Stayed up way too late last night finishing this! Every one of the books in this series is such a great read.

More like 3.5 but rounded up - really didn't like it in the early going but it finished very strong. Deducting that half a star for how long it took to get past the rough start. Loved the last third, though!

More like 3.5 stars, not quite as good as the first one in the series for me, but still worth reading. I love Rock (not least because I kept picturing him as Dwayne Johnson in my head). I just like the society drama a bit more than the rural stuff.

Cute, fun, a little overstuffed plotwise, but can't wait to read the next one!

Eh. Quick read, nothing incredibly juicy but still pretty fun.

This book is incredible but difficult to read but worth it.

Fun fast read - the Les Mis one had me dying.

(3.5, rounding up) A light, entertaining listen, though I could've done without the calling audiobook listeners lazy - I can't really read and drive, Aziz! The social science aspect was interesting, but I was really listening to this for Aziz's humor, and I feel like this book could have used a bit more of that. I appreciate the desire to do more than just a written standup routine, though, so I'm rounding up.

Reread - I loved this book and read it multiple times several years ago, but it didn't age as well as I was hoping it had. The wordplay and the pranks are still great but the feminism is extremely basic. Still enjoyable, just not something I identified with as hard as I used to.

Ugh, switched editions and Goodreads ate my review. I'll just say that I wish the ending was a little less abrupt (maybe a sequel?) and I really enjoyed the rest of it, particularly all the behind the scenes stuff - it's clear the authors really did their research when it came to all that.

Amazing book about a part of history that I knew basically nothing about before. Really enjoyed the parallel stories of the three main characters (characters isn't the right word but this book reads almost like fiction, so we'll use it). Great historical background and context to a lot of things that are still playing out in American culture today. Audio edition is very well-produced.

Such a fast, cute, fun read! I love Riley and Ted is exactly who I would've had a crazy crush on in high school.

The parts about his return to WWE and the various feuds/storylines (especially the stuff about the Shawn Michaels storyline) were interesting. The stuff about metal bands, not so much. The problem with audiobooks is that you can't skim until you get to something interesting. Not bad at all, especially when graded on the curve of ‘wrestling memoirs,' but not something that'll stick with me that long, I think.

I should just set up an automatic preorder for anything Courtney Milan writes. I didn't love this quite as much as ones like [b:The Heiress Effect 13489922 The Heiress Effect (Brothers Sinister, #2) Courtney Milan https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1373761621s/13489922.jpg 19028795] or [b:The Suffragette Scandal 17343236 The Suffragette Scandal (Brothers Sinister, #4) Courtney Milan https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1399859670s/17343236.jpg 24081161], but as far as contemporary romances go, it's definitely one of the best ones I've read recently. I wanted more Maria, so I'm glad to see the next book will be about her! The last twist with Blake's dad came a little bit out of nowhere for me, but I ended up liking where it took the story, so I'm not mad. :D

Quick cute read about a 12-year-old girl joining roller derby and growing apart from her best friend. I read it basically in one sitting. The facial expressions are great and I love how the derby information is accurate, as a skater myself! This is more mid-grade than I usually read, but I'd definitely recommend it for kids in that age range!

Put this down for several weeks (months?) and just picked it back up. Not sure if I'll continue the series.

Perfectly average mystery novel. Not bad at all, but not anything that I'm likely to remember in a month or two.

Okay, but nothing all that special. Probably my least favorite of the Heyers I've read so far, but still fun and definitely enjoyable.

Devoured this in one day spent in three airports and on two flights. I want to reread now that I know the mystery, to see if it holds up, but definitely kept me interested all the way through. Consider this a provisional rating, I guess.

I devoured this and it was so good and so beautifully written I want to go back and read it again. Stunning.

Needed more roller derby and more sex scenes. But amusing enough.

A little bit all over the place, but really enjoyed this one!

I will always read books about women growing up in conservative/fundamentalist religious groups and then leaving. This one was less dramatic than many of those - no running away from a compound - but better written than most of them.
