I actually liked this book even if I only gave it 3 stars. I had put in on my DNF pile but the writing pulled me back in. It is enchanting and the plot takes a while to solidify but once it does it’s an enjoyable read and I found myself invested.

Why 3 stars then? Because I had to suspend reality a lot, not for the fantastical elements, but for what I found were plot holes and rushed and missing character development.

I liked it enough that I’ll buy the physical copy (I loaned from my local library), but it’s definitely a vibes kind of read.
