Glad I stuck it out, this last book had some truly beautiful moments.

This book and the last book . . . Jeepers do they drag on. Might as well finish the novels at this point

Literary. Meta Fiction.

Best book I've read all summer! History of Comics?

One of the most interesting books I've read in quite sometime. Psychological Thriller!

Story about Roland's Story. Provides a lot about his character

Curious about Camus and his philosophy, interested in his other works/essays. Makes me wish I actually knew another language and could read works in the language that their author wrote it in.
Really enjoy the writing style. Saying that it is simple would not do it full justice, but that is the closest word that I can think of. For now . . .

Started off kind of slow and seemingly generic, with a lot of seemingly forced interactions through the characters. But as you get through more of their stories it picks up speed a bit, and becomes much more interesting.

The translation might have had issues?

Interesting conglomeration of musical facts (regarding various artists, and their thoughts on music theory), from the stand point of a beginner guitar player and his musical journey. The book mostly focuses on the learning aspect from the viewpoint of various psychological standpoints, I think I was expecting more personal experiences and more about the day to day of practicing guitar.

kind of redundant, but definitely interesting. Wonder how accurate/what the current state of affairs regarding US cyber security is.

Pretty interesting. Does seem assumptive that most people want kids/family in their life. (Heteronormative might be the word)

Need to read more books about ships/captains/adventres

EH . .. .

Books with drug trips are sometimes a toss up because you wonder how wacky they are going to get, not this one though (as in it's great!). Haha my friend asked me if I had gotten to the twist yet, I said what twist (at this point I had like <30 pages left in the book), he said about them being the same person, and I laughed because it is apparent from the beginning, in fact it explicitly states that. However as the book goes on it does become less apparent due to psychotic breakdown.

Also an interesting take on the sperry and meyers split brain idea.

Interesting concept, not sure if I agree that some form of hallucinogen was directly responsible for human evolution happening how it did (or is thought to have had happened). The relationship painted between drugs of all forms (tv, coffee, alcohol) and humans throughout the ages is fascinating. The book is written in an academic format.

Picked up near the end, would like to reread this one sometime for sure. Reminds me a lot of Remains of the Day, in the sense that the characters seem to play out their lives (in regret?) of the past, looking back on key events that they could have altered. Sort of . . .

Say what you want about Ayn Rand and her beliefs but you can't deny that she is an excellent writer.

Interesting event, kind of presented in a boring fashion. Cool to know about what life may have been like in the mid 20's here in Richmond, makes me want to get out in the surrounding area more.

Interesting Information presented in a kind of bland and repetitive format.

Love this book
Makes you want to do something for your life for a change
Nothing but admiration for the courage of Chris/Alex
New experiences are the core of man's soul/spirit

Never have I seen such an accurate description of depression. Amazing that she wrote this book during that time period. Inspirational.

Always interested in the topic of Eugenics, really makes you consider what exactly being human is, and why it may or may not be so special.

This book was written in a very realistic way. From the viewpoint of an everyday kind of guy (seemingly), who is likable and relatable. Gives his adventure great credibility, and is a real inspiration to people who have a dream in mind that they may want to achieve. Giving you a very clear idea about what you can realistically expect from this sort of challenge.
