Oh my, I was not sure as I started the book whether I was going to like it or not, but when it started to pick up, man did it pick up! This went from a 3 star to a 5 star read really fast! I was blown away with how the story managed to turn and reveal much more than I anticipated! Great for a rainy weekend read!
Nero is not known as one of the best Rome offered, but his story is compelling nonetheless.
Margaret George has done a fabulous job with this book, bringing Nero to life in a way that many could not. You almost want to feel sorry for him throughout the book - although there are a myriad of emotions that one will go through while reading!
Fabulous book, and deserves a read!
The Civil War is one of the most written about pieces in history, but this story brings a side to light that is not often seen. Lt. Loring was taken prisoner after he had to surrender his ship to Confederate forces. After several years, and two escape attempts, he finally makes it back to the Union forces.
The story that unfolds here is one that will not soon be forgotten, and the small act that he played in the aftermath of President Lincoln's shooting, can be hailed as heroic.
I really loved this book! It was amazing!
This book held more twists and turns than I was expecting! It was fabulous! If you are looking for a book to fill your weekend, you need to read this one!
Find a little forgiveness, some closure, and some good ole family drama - just enough to keep everything and everyone interested and turned upside down!
Summer camp is supposed to be full of fun memories and laughter. But one year stands out in the McAllister kids minds, as the summer of secrets. When one of the campers is attacked, left in a vegetative state, they are left wondering who was responsible and why.
The many secrets come back to haunt them after their parents deaths, and the questions are once again brought to the surface, as their father believes he knows who was responsible, but didn't have the proof. It is up to the siblings to decide which is guilty, and who will inherit the camp.
A good read, but I did figure out, “who done it,” about halfway through the book, it was just one of those, yeah that makes the most sense moments. While the book was an enjoyable read, there were a few times where it felt as though it drug just a little bit, but then it would pick back up - rinse and repeat.

WOW, this is a great book for those “I need a weekend getaway,” with a little mystery and drama thrown in!
This book is an emotional and riveting view of one man's journey through the military, and beyond...
Roger Sparks is not your typical person, he exemplified the military lifestyle, pushing himself and others harder and farther then they thought possible. Warrior's Creed takes us on a journey that one will not soon forget. I was enthralled from the first page, and could not put it down. As a veteran, I listened to the story and could only imagine what he was feeling, thinking, and going through.
I am still processing my thoughts on the book, but WOW, this was an eye-opener!
This book is a surefire winner and not your typical “military read.”

While I am a Ricardian (I know...) I still enjoyed this book, which brought to life the grandfather of the future king of England. It was an engaging and fun read. I highly enjoyed it! Get this one your to-read list NOW!
