See allWhat an excellent book! I cannot recommend it enough. Do yourself a favour and add it to your reading list for 2023. Not only will you learn a lot about this vitally important phenomenon, but you will gain valuable tips to improve the quantity and quality of your sleep. An amazing investment in your physical and mental wellbeing!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have to admit that I tried the app a couple years ago and thought it wasn't for me. I realize now that I should have focused on understanding the approach first. I'm so glad I gave it another try and invested the time to read the book. All the information you need is on the website, but I enjoyed having it available in the book. I also enjoyed the stories of other families going through their own journey. It's never too late to start budgeting and I really liked the gentle approach and encouragement throughout this book. Now to resist the urge to buy everyone I know a copy.
Excellent and timely read. This book was really insightful and helped me understand how loneliness affects me. I had the book on my to read list for a while, but started reading it after I realized that I was suffering from loneliness earlier this year. It reinforced that we need to be more intentional in cultivating meaningful and deep relationships. This true in general, but especially true when we continue to work remotely and start new positions remotely. It's not often that you can say that a book changed your life, but this book changed mine.
Kyle speaks to me in this instalment of YDKJS. I never felt 100% comfortable using languages that promote OOP design patterns as the only viable option to structure applications. I really love his approach to explaining the pitfalls of this approach in JS, and explaining that it's like “swimming against the current”. Rather use the prototype mechanism as it was intended, namely Behaviour Delegation.
