This version of the turtles is gritty and warm in every way you'd hope. They really do feel like kids, and the setting and more sci-fi spin reminds me of the 2003 TV series in the best way possible

Putting it down for now, pretty dense, will come back to it.

I told my girlfriend that finishing Fun Home was like getting dumped in an icy pool. This is only partially true. It's the familiar public pool of my own childhood that scraped my feet until they bled. It's an understanding of the magnitude of the cracks that form in the family dynamics we are born in to. This was stunning

This was the book I needed, & though I dodged finishing it, for the first time at least, for quite a while, I can say without question that Stone Butch Blues uprooted so, so many emotions & left light & warmth in their wake.
