It was fine. A bit dull in places. It makes me wonder if I would enjoy the full novel or not. I think the movie is fantastic and the visuals there are so incredible that this graphic version sort of pails in comparison.

Some really cute comics. I laughed out loud at several of them.

Excellent sequel. Has important messages for adults as well as kids.

I don't remember where I first heard of Nellie Bly, but her life story is a fascinating one. Through this book, I was able to learn a bit more about her. I hope that there are still reporters out there, regardless of gender, who are still as tenacious as she was. And I hope that she is never forgotten.

I'm realizing that the short romance stories I've read just don't do a good enough job of creating a believable relationship in a short amount of time. The writing just seemed a little flimsy for me. I also hate when women or girls are called princess. This wasn't bad, I enjoyed it fine, I just didn't love it.

Excellent short tales in the Gravity Falls universe. I especially liked the one that takes place across comics. The writing is so good that I could “hear” the actors' voices in my head as I read.

Starts off silly and cute but hits some real depths (pun intended). Ends up being sweet and slightly emotional.

This was the least appealing of the How To books I've read. Maybe I just didn't connect with this one as much.

I knew this comic could only get better. I like where the story went here, how it evolved from volume one.

Another great little book of thoughts and meditations.

Really cute art and the beginnings of a good story. Not much happens yet but we'll see where it goes in the next volume..

Some interesting concepts about bringing rituals to the everyday without necessarily being religious. Talks a bit too much about his podcast. 3.5* rounded up.

Great little book with thoughts and meditations on relaxing. Includes a few good tips on meditating.

3.5*

I didn't totally love the ending, but this is the fastest I've read a book recently. I don't normally read in this genre, but the cover intrigued me at the library.

Another excellent book by Scalzi. Very fun and, dare I say, the only truly essential pandemic pop culture.

The writing just wasn't very strong. When you read a good fantasy novel, you are pulled into the world. I never felt like I had a firm grip on all the terms and lore of this world. It read like a bad YA novel then intense smut scenes. The two parts just didn't flow together well.

Listened to the full cast audiobook.

Excellent memoir. Completely readable (read in 2 days) even when tackling dark subjects. Long time fan of Paul and loved reading this.

3.5*

Very fun light read.

Gorgeous art, and nothing more.

A mixed bag. Some good stuff, some boring.

Excellent little story. Wish it were longer as I really enjoyed the world it created.

Great art but that's about it. Literally takes 5mins to read the whole thing and the ending did not make sense.

Probably my least favorite, second epilogue of the Bridgerton series so far. It barely has anything to do with the central couple and more to do with Eloise finding out Penelope‘s secret. But the resulting story doesn't offer much. I would much rather it have been a peak into Colin and Penelope‘s married life.

Excellent book full of tips on sketching and painting. Feels like an art class in a book. Plenty of things I found fascinating and never would have thought of.
