The parts of this book about running and about her recovery were interesting, but the rest of the book is just filler, vapid platitudes, and truisms. Even though I was skimming vigorously, these parts annoyed me.

This was a brilliant, thoughtful, and wise book. I listened to the audiobook (expertly read by the author) and had to keep stopping to take notes and re-listen to parts.

100% pure pleasure. So glad Laura Lippman is still writing away.

I guess you could say this book was a little repetitive, but I loved it. It was funny and heartbreaking, often in the same sentence. It just felt validating to hear the author state over and over again that things are not right.

Eh, this was okay. I really enjoyed the art but the story was sort of full of obnoxious characters.

This was a fun listen–great narrator. The coincidences were a little too much but if you can excuse that you'll enjoy this. Now I want to reread Mansfield Park.

3.5? This was fun but maybe a little less fun than the first two? I'll still read or listen to the fourth.

There wasn't all that much new in here, but I really liked the sensible way she laid out the issues and ways to work towards solutions. I also liked the inclusion of mindfulness.

This was a fun romance for those who like books, libraries, cosy spaces, etc.

I enjoyed this a lot. It brought up issues around eating disorders, rape, being young and female. There was nothing groundbreaking or astonishingly insightful about it, but it was still fun to spend some time with the young women of Frost's cross country team.

This was every bit as horrifying as you might expect, and more so! These people truly are evil.

At irst I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book but once she got to Ann of Green Gables I knew it was going to be great! And it really was.

I'm a little torn about this book, because I loved it, and I want to hang out with the author on the river forever. But also, I read it at a distracted time of life and it was hard to focus on and keep reading. So, maybe I'm fond of the book and not so fond of my ability to concentrate...

This was a bit strange. I listened to the audiobook and it was certainly interesting enough to hold my attention. but every challenge the character-faced was so easily overcome todd that there was n't too much narrative tension.

Really brings home to you what it's like to be a parent of a trans teenager (not to mention a trans teenager themselves) in these times. I hope so, so many people read this (including some I know...).

This was a super interesting read and made me want to go out and explore Glenn Canyon (or, what's available of it) stat. It's got some good proposals for how to get us out of the water mess we're in with Lake Powell. I wish the folks in charge would read it.

I really loved this book. The characters were so lovable, without being written in a way to flatter the reader. There were sad and scary parts, for sure, but not too scary.

I was really not crazy about this one. I have loved some of his other absurd works, but this one was possibly over my head. What was with the dreams? Were they all plots of Sidney Poitier movies? What did the ending mean, if anything?
