3.75, actually.

- I liked this one MUCH MORE than the previous one but I still had issues with it. The whole Oddeta/Detta section was really too much and, unfortunately, it took up quite a chunk of this book. Thus, my rating.

- Roland was a bit better, I think? The jury is still out on him tbh.

- The references to The Shinning film...King, you cheecky bastard.

- I have a lot of questions still (I'm not sure what Mort dying means to the timeline...I shall investigate because I'm too dumb for timetravel and paradox stories) and I'm very interested in finding out what's next in the journey to the Tower.

I found some parts to be quite dull, probably because Poirot wasn't around much. I liked the resolution, though.

Mmm...I liked it way better than the first time I read it (don't know if it's because I read a different version) but I'm still not convinced by the writing (I found it really dense and hard to follow at times, which is so unusual for me with King's books) or Roland. He wasn't really in my good graces after Tull and then David happened and then Jake happened. We'll see if/how he changes in the other books but right now he could die and I wouldn't be upset tbh.

Also, that one scene with Sylvia REALLY put me off and the one with the oracle wasn't great either.

I am, though, really curious about the story and the connections to other King's books (Did Jake and Alain have the shinning or am I tripping???) so I shall give the series at least one more book.

The story was ok, I enjoyed some of the twists, but the constant cheating and messy relationships got old at some point.

- Definitely not for me. I didn't enjoy the writing style, some foreshadowing is cool but all this back and forth wasn't it.

- I didn't really care for the characters either. I didn't love them and I didn't hate them, they were there.

- The premise was cool but it fell apart for me quite quickly. The story dragged so much and all the changes/references to future events made it all quite confusing.

- Much better than my previous Moriarty read but, once again, I wouldn't consider it a thriller or a mystery book.

- I was very invested in most of the characters except for Cherry. I get why we read so much from her but I found that some of the details weren't really necessary.

- The epilogue was meh imo
